"What?! They made THAT" - Games you never knew certain developers made

Developer as in person, the same man who directed these.

Also worked on these.

Shinji Mikami.

I was more surprised by P.N.03. I thought that was some random project thrown into the Nintendo deal bin, not an actual Mikami directed title.

It's easy to forget that our beloved Rare had a very robust list of games they made for the NES... some of them good, some of them among the worst in the NES library (and put out under the infamous LJN brand). I think Anticipation might be one of the most worthless NES cartridges in existence. And they created the only retail game made specifically for the Power Glove.

This image is just scratching the surface.

started by making Ultima Underworld clone:

Been a fantastic developer since day one, Arx Fatalis is such a great game.
It was actually intended to be another entry in the Ultima Underworld series, but they couldn't get the license.

My From Software mind blown moment was Echo Night: Beyond. It was a weirdass first person PS2 survival horror game where you were an astronaut on an abandoned moon base trying not to die of heart attacks from ghost encounters.

One of the earliest games for Digital Extremes, the game company finding a ton of success with the F2P game WarFrame, was this Shareware classic:

Holy fuck. I knew that name was familiar to me somehow.

The guys who made this

went on to make this

Star_Control_II_cover.jpg

and now they make this

(Which is why we'll never see a real sequel to Star Control 2) :(

One of my favorite developers, Neversoft (RIP :() made this game for a obscure cartoon series called Skeleton Warriors

They also did a PS1 port of MDK as well as a shooter with Bruce Willis called Apocalypse

Until they made one of the greatest sports series ever, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
Pre-Robomodo shit

This was a fun and unique match-3 puzzle game released in the early days of the DS' lifespan. Still play it to this day.

It even has the Sakurai menu screens!

It was published by Epic MegaGames. The companies worked together later.
They co-developed Unreal and Unreal Tounament/2003/2004.
Also, Epic Pinbal IIRC predated Digital Extremes, although it was created by the DE founder, James Schmalz
