wow, you actually think this game was overhyped? i guess i wasn't around gaf when it was about to be released, but i think it's a pretty impressive game, all things considered--original and refreshing stuff. i guess drooling japanophiles could have potentially ruined the fun prerelease, though.

I can vaguely recall the insanity around MGS2. Nothing will ever match Naruto though.

From what I remember, Fable or Halo 2 were by far the most hyped games for 2004 by GAF. Though I'm dumb so I might be wrong.

I've been around since late 02, but I can't remember a game that's spawned a thread like Oblivion, even before its release.

The most hype ever is Megaton, that's unbeatable, and unbelievable. Lord Federman FTW :lol :lol

SSB:B is pretty damn hyped. I still remember the thread when the trailer was shown at E3...jesus. It was awesome.
