What was your first expansion or DLC?

I don't agree but it is the best RTS PC game ever made so I'm sure we'll still get along. ;)

I am Quotemoc, Jaguar Warrior... of Tenochtitlan

Monk, I need a monk!
Start the game already!
Wololololo
Nice town, I'll take it!

agreed, although Rise of Nations still remains my favourite

gahh I need to replay that game and get owned as usual

I also bought the original Call of Duty expansion for PC, United Offensive.

I don't think this one counts; same case as Majora's Mask.
Majora's Mask is its own game with a completely separate storyline and mechanics to OoT, whereas the levels in S&K were originally meant to be a part of Sonic 3. S3&K is one game in my mind. A bloody good one at that.

Hmm, my first expansion might have been the (inofficial?) Germanic campaign for Age of Empires 1, I think. Either that or one of the Command & Conquer Red Alert expansions.

First DLC was the first map pack for Perfect Dark Zero or the costume packs for Kameo. I regret either.
Todays DLCs are mostly songs for Rock Band or GOOD DLC stuff like SSF4AE. Which also falls into expansion territory. Smells like Xzibit.

Bought it, smelled it, played it, loved it.

Gwarm is after my own heart! Ghost Bear was my first expac, and I loved every second of Mech 2! Probably my favorite games of all time. I just wish the reboot that was supposedly on the horizon would get through all of the legal loop holes and come to fruition.

There are no legal loopholes hindering the development of MW:3015.

The other day I found an old CD-ROM with like 100 DOOM II levels. I guess it came with a PC magazine. So I guess that.

The first DLC was that Xbox KOTOR thing. I think it was just a space station with a vendor. It was dumb. It was like the first DLC on Xbox ever.

I bought FFXI with the first expansion in it. Does that count?

The first expansion I remember buying was WoW: The Burning Crusade.

As far as I can remember, my very first experience with an expansion of any real note was Second Age for Ultima Online, I remember having warm feelings about this type of content delivery at the time given how much it added to the game, but sadly that feeling has evaporated since so many developers use it as an excuse to release unfinished product to the market.

Ultima was also my first experience with MMOs, it's such a shame what ultimate ended up happening to the game once Garriot, and Origin were taken away from the game. I still have many fond memories of it regardless.

I would love a new game set in the Ultima universe if done right, but the fact is that I fear there are not too many developers out there who could really do it the way most would want, and therefor should be left to it's legacy as a series of greatness. Please don't let Bioware touch it.....

I'm pretty sure my first and only was Tribunal for Morrowind. I did buy King's Bounty: Crossworlds as a pack that included Armored Princess so not sure that counts.

Apart from that, I don't buy DLC. Hell, someone told me that there was free DLC for ME2 and I didn't even bother. Your game lives and dies on my PC based on what you shipped and/or unlocked from the start.

opposing force if that counts

as paying for download dlc: probably Vietnam for BC2.. i think

i like how you guys complaint about the model yet you all were weak at first! i stay true to my word! lol

Dates back to 1989 when I picked up the first of 4 expansion discs for Test Drive II: The Duel on my Commodore 64.

Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal

I also had the Atomic Edition of Duke Nukem 3D, which had the Plutonium Pack in it.

My mom bought this to me not realizing it was a expansion pack, luckily that meant getting both the expansion pack and the game the day after.

The Call of Duty 3 Bonus Map 'champs'(spelling?)
The first one i bought was the red map pack for Rainbow 6 Vegas (or whatever the first expansion for that game was called.)

I refuse to support DLC, so I don't buy it. If I do get DLC, it's generally because it was included for free in the version of the game I bought.

Expansions? I would buy them if they were a reasonable price but I haven't played a game where it's had one so I've never needed to.

I didn't have a very capable PC until the mid 2000s.

So I'm embarrassed to admit one of the Sims 1 expansions.

My first DLC was the free Dead Rising stuff.

Sure there is a lot of shit DLC out there but there is also DLC that is pretty much like the old expansion packs that you have no problem buying, except you download it instead of install it from a disc.

Say what? Dead Rising 1? Free DLC?

Mine was the Rainbow 6 Eagle Watch pack. 2nd would be Opposing Force.
For consoles it was almost certainly the Free for All pack for Crackdown.
