Making drunk friends is crazy easy. I seen some dude drinking alone, brought him a drink, introduced him to my friends, cruised over to some chicks, got cock blocked by a big girl, made friends with some air force guys, got shouted drinks, haters gonna hate walked for about 2 kilometers, hooked back up with my friends, GOOD TIMES!

I never make an effort to celebrate NYE. I dont have any problem with people doing so, I just dont see the point and have no 'desire' to hit it big. That being said, pretty much every year I'll end up chilling with someone. But I'm the kind of guy who's quite happy to 'celebrate' NYE in my backyard with a couple of friends and a few brews, rather than hitting up clubs and getting plastered.

This year my housemates organised a NYE BBQ which I'm told I cant ditch, so I'll be here doing that. Looks like its going to be pretty quiet, but a handful of friends are showing up anyway so it will be a nice relaxing night.

Last year I went to bed at like 11:30, but in my defence I had gone on a huge bender the night before and hadn't slept.

Seeing True Grit with my GF in one of those deluxe theaters with alcohol and restaurant type food brought to your seat. After the movie is over they put Times Square on the screen and you get a free champagne toast. I've already done a couple decades worth of crazy ass NYE partying, so this seems like a perfect low-key-but-better-than-staying-home activity.

Sounds pretty damn cool actually.

Not hitting any bars, but probably a house party. I actually prefer that atmosphere a lot more.

I will be working one of Chicago's over-elaborate hotel NYE parties, taking photos for my side business. While I deal with the most ostentatious douchebaggery the Windy City has to offer. I will learn to bite my tongue and smile at the people who treat me, and all the service staff there like subhuman animals.

I only hope that someone there does something semi-horrible to one of the service staff, so I can capture it on film, present the abused staff member with my lawyer business card and sue the crap out of some Gold Coast trust fund baby.

But, more than likely, I'll be hellaciously busy and weill hopefully have time to partake of the open bar at some point.
