I wonder how well the name "Super Wii" would do. At first it sounds soooooo cheesy, but who knows? I'm always surprised by how the unwashed non-GAF masses have fond memories of the SNES -- guess we're not the only ones that love vidyagames! And certainly, adding "Super" to the name suggests, "This is Wii, but WAY MORE FUN." Hmm.

Call it whatever, but if people don't see "the next level" of motion gaming with which they asociate the Wii name, it doesn't seem like an upgrade to them. The whole asymmetric focus goes against what they think of as a "Wii."

I've been a proponent of the Perfect Nintendo Entertainment System.

But really, the 'Wii' brand in general needs to go. Hell, I've been giving telepathic death glares to Nintendo's marketing and PR ever since they made the Nintendo company logo and racetrack a bland grey instead of the striking red. THAT'S what needs fixing right now and is doable.

Made it stand out so much more to a blue Sony and green MS.
