What would you want to see in Street Fighter 4?

+High res sprites AND backgrounds. High definition.
+Online play and worldwide leaderboards.
+Returning characters from SF2 AND III. Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Yun, Yang, Ibuki, Alex, and Makoto are a must. Oro should have never existed.
+Same/increased level of animation from SFIII.
+Keep the Super Art mechanic. Parry system should return.
+Keep the style gritty and rugged (like the Crystal Bearers). I want the "acid jazz" music to return.

-Remove Oro.
-Don't reuse backgrounds/BGMs for characters. Yun/Yang can be an exception.

What do you guys think?

-parry
- all sf charecters who arent dead and make the dead unlockables
- tag matches
- online
- parry
- more balanced
- parry
- better music

This is the new starcraft 2, its being kept secret but is already in development for 6 years.
if only it wasnt a joke, :'(

s'wrong wit oro?

Someone ate at one too many Kentucky Fried Chicken Combo resturants, that's what. :lol

A large, LARGE portion of the old talent back. No Arika, no anime liscense stuff like they've been doing. This also precludes a 4th installment, costwise, I'm afraid.

yeah what is wrong with oro? thats like saying remove urien, necro and twelve-_-

Yet a new system of gameplay I want something as new as SFIII was. Also even if they have to re-release the game several times I want hi-rez sprites with the same quality of animation of SFIII. Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li are a must-have as well.

You want to see an announcement in Street Fighter 4?

I am just kidding about Oro. He's my least favourite character in Street Fighter III, and I am just having some fun. :lol

Of, :).

I have no problem with the current strret fighter style, I guess just updated visuals and a solid online system?

A disclaimer admitting the series has lost it's shine to Guilty Gear. Then an apology.

I find myself pretty much agreeing with CurseoftheGods wants.

I do hope they do another cast overhaul like with SF2->SF3. I love the classic SF2 cast as much as the next guy but I don't want to see them every last one of them find their way back because some fans can't let go.

Keep Ryu,Ken and Chun-Li(For fanservice) and a couple key characters from SF3, then just have a completely new cast outside of those. Just this time, cut down on the freaks and keep them at least semi-believable.

Quoted for justice. :)

I have a hard time trying to think a solid "new" gameplay aspect for them to introduce in SF4, like parrying was for SF3. Maybe a more intricate grappling system? Down attacks? The wake-up game could use some touches.

- More Blanka
- Old Ryu
- More lively stages (SF3 had a lot of empty backgrounds. :( Compared to SF2 backgrounds, it's like Capcom was forecasting the decline of popularity in fighting games.)

On the side: It was nice to see Final Fight characters intervene. It would amuse me endlessly to see Capcom try and bill SF4 as the Smash Bros. of traditional fighters and sign on characters from past competing beat-em-ups, like Streets of Rage, Ninjawarriors, and Double Dragon. I wonder if Sega and Capcom still wish each other dead.

SF is known for populating it's games with poor, tired clones, expect more.

Bursting
Throw Breaks
Slashbacks

Only a matter of time. :D

Huge WTF there. The FF Wii game? The one that looks like Kingdom Hearts? What in the world does that have to do with Street Fighter and/or ruggedness?

Oro is awesome stfu.

I thought Capcom USA bought the rights to Street Fighter anyways. I doubt we'll ever see anything close to the awesomeness of Third Strike again.

Did they ever? Capcom was Sega's strongest supporter during the Saturn and Dreamcast days.

You're probably thinking of Namco.

Right after Sega gave up on the Dreamcast, Capcom went on record with their contempt for Sega. I couldn't hope to track down where I read that, though. :( I just remember this bit of trivia sticking out in my mind because 1) something was said about them formerly being partners but becoming rivals (once Sega went third-party) and 2) Capcom's exec originally advised Sega against bringing the Dreamcast to market. Like, since Sega went ahead with the DC anyway, Capcom backed them up on it and felt betrayed when they dropped it later.

What I want from Capcom is to take a page out of SNK's book and say to themselves: f*ck it, we are Capcom, we make 2D fighting games damnit. :(

It's been way too long... Start milking that shit again, and not just with remakes of remakes.

Thre nth remake of SFII was shiny sprites didn't make you happy? How odd.

A new heavyweight character fighting style (sort of like what Alex was for III). Also, the return of Hugo or a character with his moveset.

WOW. I had no idea about that. I really want to find out more about this. :lol

Since when have capcom ever put old movesets on new characters?

I mean, Hugo himself was a redone Zangief, but I felt the additions and changes were a step in the right direction for the series (at least III's gameplay). I guess I could have just said "Don't dumb down the large characters".

I was talking about next-gen kind of sparks, I already know what GG looks like ;)

Watch a video of Accent Core, puts every SF game to shame, the problem with HDSF is that it looks brilliant but the gameplay is stuck somewhere about two decades ago.

A home version that, when you beat it with... some stupid requirement like all rounds perfect with all characters and then you have to beat Ermac (he's in my SF4, shut up), you unlock an arcade-perfect Marvel/Capcom 2, just so people will quit crying about not having it.

That, or Goku.

*Most* fighting games tend to do this, I know a few people would love to this trend, atleast in SF, end in SF4.
