It's that time of the year. New releases are drying up and black friday sales have finished. Time to clear out as much of your backlog as you can and get ready for GOTY voting, GAF.

Personally I missed having direct access to my own 360, and so this weekend and most of next week is going to be largely for:

When not doing that, it's going to be all about:

[360] Assassin's Creed II: Freaking awesome. 16 hours in and I just arrived in Venice.:lol
[PC] Batman: Arkham Asylum: I love it. I'm not very far (just entered the mansion) and I'm looking forward to play some more.
[PC] Dragon Age: Not very far in but I'm not really feeling it right now.

R&C:CiT (PS3) - about 70% done, getting interupted too much by..

Borderlands (PS3) - My buddy and I are playing co-op, we are around level 32.

MAG and BC2 betas - both seem great in their own way. Will probably pick up BC2 since I like SP games more than MP.

Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, and yesterday I booted up Halo 3 for the first time in about 2 months and proceeded to get absolutely destroyed, reminding myself why I always stop playing it. See you in february Halo!

Playing the write papers, study for exams like a mad man game for the next two weeks.

But after that I'm gonna dive into some games.

Oh, I finished that game on Monday, but I have to replay it again next Thursday. Good luck with the final boss, that bastard took me like 9 hours of straight typing to beat.

I hope to finish up Assassin's Creed II this weekend. I've exhausted just about all the side things I can do, I just need to clean up the story and feathers. I'm not going to officially call it yet, but this is very likely my GOTY.

Finished the first game on hard. I'm gonna try to complete the Challenge of the Gods now before starting the GoWII.

Let's see whats on the plate for this weekend...

Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer
Borderlands Co-op
And probably finding time for one or two of the following: Dragon Age, Forza 3, Madden 10, Valkyria Chronicles, Assassin's Creed 2, and Torchlight.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Been playing co-op with my brother, so I haven't had a chance to finish it yet, and I don't want to go through the game's single-player until after we beat it co-op.

I'll be looking to get something else for the Wii this month: either Silent Hill or Dead Space Extraction.

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (GCN)

The New York Times Crosswords (DS)

Advance Wars 2 (GBA)

Thief: Deadly Shadows (Xbox)

Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War (PS2)

Playin Mischief Makers at my (new) house, already moved all my stuff there except my plasma so I hooked up my N64 again and played some Mario, Perfect Dark (still lookin good, fuck 30 fps) and then started MM (bought it but never played it for any reason). Awesome game, controls are a bit strange though.

At my old house I'm still playin Odin Sphere, I think I never ever played a game with so many flaws and stupid game-design decisions.
so I'm in the second to last chapter , Armageddon, and am able to level up my charas. But am I able to access all the levels I already beat with them? Of course not, I have to start all over again(Whats the point, I'm breezin through the chapters anyway, it's just annoying and stupid). W_T_F?

Forza 3: Around Driver level 27 in Career
NBA Live: Dynamic Season games and some online
Madden 10: Online Franchise, Season 2
Assassins Creed 2: Picked this up weeks ago, still havent started it - plan to tonight
Dead Space Extraction: Just started this a couple days ago, have finished the first 2 chapters
MW2: MP and Spec Ops

Not a whole lot, but making some slow progress in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and nearing the end of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

If I finish the latter this weekend, I'll probably start up Golden Sun, and get back into some multiplayer Phantasy Star Zero.

If I need a break from NSMB, I have a cheap Pikmin Wii or Klonoa to crack open.

Done with Mega Man Powered Up, after like... a long time
Beat all 100/100 challenges. Protoman rules.
28/28 official DLC stages.
32% New Mode (would take a billion years to complete this :lol)
100% Old Mode

+ some Mario Kart Double Dash multiplayer

Too many awesome games...

Forza 3
Left 4 Dead 2
Assassin's Creed 2
Dragon Age: Origins
Modern Warfare 2

Plus I still need to go back and finish:
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time
Batman AA
Borderlands

Phoenx Wright: Ace attorney: The announcement of the wii/iphone ports reminded me i have the first two games sitting on my shelf, Still unplayed. I finished up the first act today, While essentially an overlong tutorial it was a great starter.

Myst: I have always wanted to play this, And seeing as gog.com have just added it to there selection now seemed as good a time as any. It's certainly different. I really have no idea what to do either.

The longest journey: Another game i bought from gog.com. I am just about to start playing it. I've heard only good things about it.

I have been playing the wii a lot recently for some reason. Damn, some of these games are so addictive to me.

the flying game is the most relaxing fun I've had playing videogames in a very long time.

(this is still my all time favorite online game)

Right now...

(finished it about 4 days ago, but I'm still playing it to collect all the feathers)

51JefSjOJ8L._AA280_.jpg

(Playing the hell out of this, but almost only multiplayer)

51Bs4LPWpaL._AA280_.jpg

(Playing it almost exclusively with my gf)

monster_hunter_3_boxart-356x500-custom.png

(Basically online all the time. But I think my 20 days expired, so I'll have to get some Wii points.. probably tomorrow)

Picked up Ar Tonelico II from GAF recommendation (couldn't find the 1st outside of eBay). Fun game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum - a great game.
The Conduit - a bad game.
Rogue Trooper: Quartz Zone Massacer - an annoying game.
Crisis Core - a mountain of nonsense.
Metroid Prime Trilogy - the Citizen Kane thing, truly.

boxshot_uk_large.jpg

Awful game, needed at least another year of development, and some serious design changes in places. Oh, and they could've done with hiring a historian, or at the very least opening a history book. Inglourious Basterds is a documentary film by comparison.

boxshot_uk_large.jpg

Way more fun than you'd think, but I think The Sims 3 with the settings cranked up a bit may be more demanding of my system than Crysis. And it definitely shouldn't be.

Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper (360): Nice adventure with really clever puzzles. The puzzles have something to do with detective work, I like that. It's a pitty most other crime adventures have puzzles that are not connected to the crime.

Assassins Creed 2 (360): Borrowed it from a friend. First two hours feel like the first game. And I didn't like the first one.

Bayonetta Demo: The best 10 minutes I played this year. Absolutely mindblowing!

Peggle Nights: Still playing some levels now and then.

There are just too many great games at the moment...
