This and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn!

Donkey Kong Country Returns - I picked this up last week. As expected, this was a fantastic platformer, and I personally enjoyed it much more than NSMBW.
Epic Mickey - I picked this up this past week. Not quite the triple A title I was hoping for, but I still thought it was pretty good.

I've now finished both of these, so now I'm considering picking up Sonic Colors.

Still engrossed in this:

I'm nearly 40 hours in and only at 45% synchronization. I'd like to finish all optional content prior to the final sequences, but I'm feeling a bit of fatigue because there's just SO MUCH. And the multiplayer is a fun if frustrating diversion from the SP now and then. Just reached level 46. But overall, this game has really surprised me and feels like a worthy sequel to one of my top five games of all time.

Batman: Arkham Asylum ( Xbox360 version ): Amazing, amazing game. The fighting is simple, yet deep, and just about the most visceral combat-system out there. I also love the atmosphere, the visuals, and Mark Hamill's work as the Joker.

Dragon Age: Origins ( Xbox360 version ): Liking it, not loving it at the moment. The characters are well-rounded and interesting, and the lore is great. The main story, however, isn't all that. And yeah, I'm getting tired of the combat-system as well - there's just too much fighting.

Rez HD: One of the best titles on XBLA, period. Hypnotic.

Gran Turismo 5: Love the handling of the cars, dislike the structure of single-player. I still have fun, though.

GT5 mostly, but I think I blew a fuse or something- I am up to lvl 18 and around 60+ cars, couple more days I will be jumping right back -- in the meantime I grabbed Dead Nation and the new Pac-Man

---oh yea and i've been playing *starts to mumble* Magic the Gatherin' Plainswalkers somethin somethin *mumble*

And I just got my Plat for Demons Souls so that was nice.

-edit-- oh yea and right before gt5 i rented and beat Black Ops just because.

Black Ops (360) - Have clocked up just over 3 days gametime now and I'm feeling pretty good about it. Still haven't touched the campaign since Search is taking up 95% of my time lately. Game has improved substiantially with the party fixes, though disconnections are still a big issue. Still prefer the 'feel' of MW2 but as a package Black Ops is considerably better.

Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) - Outstanding in almost every aspect. A game that is almost as much fun to look at as it is to play, the sheer variety from level to level is truly amazing and something that would rival the Galaxy games. Design is off the charts. Hats off to you Retro. I can't wait to see what's next.

Sonic Colours (Wii) - Fully S-ranked each act. The levels really come into their own once you unlock all the wisps and try to figure out the best path through a level (and then master it). Still have some red coins to find but I think I'll take a break from the game now, after all I did rack up about 40 hours with it. Great game with amazing production values. A real return to form.

The game's been talked to death about, so I'll just say I'm enjoying it. The racing is so good, I can overlook menu or UI problems. I'll be playing this for awhile.

One of my favorite racing games this gen. Looks so good (though the bloom effects are overdone) and I personally really like the feel of the cars on the road. Just wish there were more rally events. I played through this completely on the 360 a couple years ago, and now I'm still really enjoying it on the PS3. Outstanding game. Love it.

Found Dirt 2 at Kmart for $14.99 and I couldn't pass that up. Unfortunately, I'm not feeling this game as much as I thought I would, considering I loved the first. I really can't stand listening to the other drivers "Nice racing, bro" bullshit, there are very few rally events at least early on, but it looks great and it feels pretty good too. Though at times I think this almost feels like Grid 2 than Dirt 2.

Other games I dabbled in:

Dead Nation. Not feeling it at all. I think it was an odd decision not to make it a twin stick shooter in the traditional sense. I know you can tweak the controls, but of the 2 levels I played, this just seems average.

Motorstorm Arctic Edge. Reacquired this after stupidly selling it off at one point. It's so good. BigBig did and outstanding job making this racer fit on the PSP. And it wasn't even their IP. Great job, guys.

Congrats on that plat, I've been wanting to get back to that game, but school has me too busy T_T

I've started studying harder for finals, but as soon as they're done I'm going to be digging through my backlog. These are the games I've managed to play on free time/breaks.

GT5 I told myself the other day I'd play for only an hour, it turned into 4 hours hahaha. I'm addicted.

Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble: Picked this up off the PSN store when it was discounted, always wanted to play it. I'm not too far in, but it's fun just running around beating people up while sporting a pompadour.

Dead Rising 2: I'm on Day 2, took a break there when I got GT5. I plan to finish it off after my last final.
