Whatcha Been Playin': Injustice Edition

Going through the Yakuza series again starting with 3, currently on CH:5 but being bogged down by annoying people in RL so I dunno if I'd get to go though them all.

Finished Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (the last few levels were harder than I remembered).

Started Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, which is the only one I didn't play for more than 15 minutes back then.

I think I'm on the second chapter of Yakuza 3. The first two were great and if you like the game then I'd recommend playing them.

I played a little bit of Bioshock Infinite but mostly I've been playing:

WRC 3: FIA World Rally Championship

The game's not perfect, and I had to tweak a few settings until I was able to settle into it, but this is basically the only real rally game that's come out in the US, so I'm happy. Been playing the shit out of it.

Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD - Looks amazing on 3D, great games.
Resistance 3 - Fun

Replaying Dragon's Dogma - preparing for Dark Arisen!
And still playing some Tomb Raider - Really enjoying this one.

Yeah I have Yakuza 1 and 2 on ps2, its just that I'm playing through 3 first, also hoping when news of 5 being localized comes(hopefully sometime later in the year) that Yakuza 1&2 HD comes along as well(if not would import them)

Luigi's Mansion 2 - Right near the end, overall a solid game. Pretty happy with the purchase.

Vanquish - Finally playing through the full game since I got it PS+ a while back. Alright, I don't find it amaznig like alot of Gaf however.

Spec Ops The Line - Played and beat it this week, it's actually really good. I however didn't think the ending was that good and felt it complicated the story way to much.

Resident Evil 6 - Doing Leon's Story on Pro Mode trying to finally finish this thing off.

Halo 4 - I'm not a Halo Fan, in fact I think outside of Halo CE and Reach that the franchise is pretty meh. That said I'm really liking H4 quite a bit, and if Cortana wasn't in it I would say it could have been in the running for my GOTY last year.

Metal Gear Solid 3 HD - Since I played MGS2, I figured I would try and play throught this again. My opinion hasn't changed and I do think it's easily the weakest of the first three games, however given my feelings on MGS4 it has been a much better experience after playing that game.

Soul Sac Demo - Enjoying it quite a bit, don't think it's the second comming like some do, still very fun and fast paced game.

Etrian Odyssey IV: Wrappin' it all up for my purposes. Mostly been dinking with classes lately on a second run anyhow.

Bioshock Infinite: Same as above, not much more to go, will do 1999 mode down the line.

Monster Hunter 3U: ... Also wrapping this up! Won't mess with end game much beyond making a few basic sets. As much as I dig on MH, I never felt an end game was all that compelling for it, especially nowadays as it's so low difficulty as of gen 3. So, without any friends from old games with a Wii U, i'll shelf it for now.

Luigis Mansion 2: Still early into this one, picked it up when it came out and never got around to playing all that much.

Probably gonna get Soul Hackers next, then I think Last of Us is next month? Edit; no, damnit, its June, that screws up everything. I guess May is just a month to finish old kit now, which will be useful for me at least.

I've only spent about an hour with it so far. It has a very charming and interesting hook and so far it hasn't worn out its welcome. There's a real joy to be had every time there's a graphical style upgrade or major mechanic introduced. It's also very comical when you're unlocking the most basic of features at the start, like sound effects and so on. Definitely enjoying it so far.

Took a leap of faith on this, due to positive buzz around here. I was initially a little disappointed, but as I've went on it's really be growing on me. Judging by the timeline in the menu, i think i'm about half way through it. I'm surprised at how good the atmosphere is, despite the nature of the presentation. Some of the puzzles are becoming pretty darn tricky now, too. After this, it's finally time to experience Persona 4 Golden, which i have sitting ready.

Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army PC

Grabbed this while it was on sale at GMG. It's got a lot more content than i would have expected. Though unfortunately two out of five levels in, it's already getting pretty repetitive. There's some enemy variety, which is good. But the scenarios are getting awfully samey. It's definitely one to play through in small installments. I still think it's been worth the money though and i like the atmosphere of the game. I just couldn't give it a strong recommendation.

Resident Evil 6 Mercenaries PC

I completed all the campaigns, at the games console release. Picked it up again for a good price on the PC, pretty much only for mercenaries. The free DLC and L4D2 crossover is nice. After i get back up to speed, i'll have to play with some Gaf.

Persona 4 Golden

I'm pulling a klepek in 2013 and playing a lot of games that I normally wouldn't play, this one being the first JRPG since like FFX that i've put more than 10 hours into. 40 hours in so far and its still so good

Neir just arrived, following that same trend

Soul Sacrifice demo in anticipation for the real thing

DOTA 2 - Always and forever dota 2

Finishing up 100% on Guacamelee. Cheesed the trophy for using all 6 moves without touching the ground and now I've just got a lot of orbs to grab

Etrian Odyssey IV: Wrappin' it all up for my purposes. Mostly been dinking with classes lately on a second run anyhow.

Playing the quite deep EO4 demo, which I am buying very soon.

I'm trading DQ9 to someone on my Twitter so I can get this game. The demo is cool, but I feel better when I map a square by walking over it instead of just seeing it. I have drawn in some lakes, but I hope my sense of scale improves because the cartography seems really intreaging. I also started the demo on casual.

Beat Crysis 3 the other night. Playing some Skyrim now, recently beat Dragonborn and now doing the Dark Brotherhood quests.

Injustice - Having so much fun with this game. I've had some trouble with the online on 360, but it hasn't bothered me much because of the abundance of SP content. Unfortunately, now I can't get the damn Depeche Mode song out of my head (well, the first few lines anyway).

Injustice - terrific fun so far. Finished the story and have played a few dozen online matches.

Haven't played any games in months because of school. Looking forward to getting stuck in again.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U)
Hit the 120 mark two days ago!
Lego City Undercover
Slowly but surely beating this game
Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Wii U)
Hit the 80 hour mark yesterday, can't believe I'm still playing this actually.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Tactics Orge: Let Us Cling Together
Luigi's Mansion 2
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition (360)
Bioshock Infinite (360)
FIFA 13 (360)
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I've been playing Telltale's The Walking Dead. On episode 3. I've been enjoying it more than I thought. Playing on 360 and what I cannot understand however, is that there's no option to invert the y axis. It's especially annoying
when you have to start shooting stuff in ep3 and you can't hit shit. I tried to save that chick with the sniper, but I got the version where I left her for dead. The shooting sections later were a pain as well.
Don't understand why they never even patched this in, it's not like it'd take a lot of effort.

This and the upcoming weeks will be my SMT special

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Soul Hackers (3DS) - 7 hours in
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey (DS) - 6 hours in
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES (PSN) - 3 hours in
Persona 4 Golden (PSV) - 20 hours in

Soul Hackers is indeed very old school and hardcore. In comparison, SMT:SJ is A LOT more user friendly...

Lego Batman 2 (Pretty addictive, but I hate the saving system and the game doesn't really have a way to let you continue your game easily.)

Lego-Batman-2-queue-008.jpg

Final Fantasy XIV Beta

Dynasty Warriors 7 (Conquest Mode, playing casually)

Dark Souls - trying this again for the third time.

:O Same! Made it to a bit past Darkroot Basin.

Anarchy Reigns Trying for the life of me to finish this one...
Metal Gear Rising Haven't really stopped playing since release, to be honest.
Binary Domain Almost done, I'm at chapter 4 out of 5 (I think)
Red Dead Redemption I will finish this game. I will finish this game. I will finish this game. I will finish this game. I will finish this game. I will finish this game. I will finish this game.
Pandora's Tower (?) Not sure if I will have this before the month ends or not...

My GTX 670 came in so I've been playing some games I couldn't max out before.

Planetside 2: I forgot how much fun this game can be. Even better now with custom config and smooth fps.

Crysis Warhead: I recently played through the first Crysis again. Second time playing Warhead so I'm doing Delta this time around.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory: I bought a Splinter Cell pack on sale on Steam way back when and I figured it was time to try Chaos Theory due to the praise it gets on this forum. I think I'm almost to the end.

On a huge PS1 kick again. What else is new? This year has been a month of unfocused gaming for me, but I think I finally found what I wanted to stick to. Going all in PS1 for a good portion of the summer!

RPG Maker VX Ace: Tonight we're creating a new teaser introduction/trailer for the game. I might have it ready to share in this thread too! We're STILL making final touches on the demo. We encountered ANOTHER bug regarding variables so it's still quite not ready. I swear, we'll release this!

Air Combat: Playing the original Ace Combat (Air Combat, lol!) for the first time. The PS2 Ace games are not only my favorite air sim/plane games, but they're some of my favorite PS2 games of all time. It's a flawless trilogy. I never played the PS1 trilogy so I picked them all up over the past few months and finally sat down with the original. It's so ridiculously simple, hah! Really cool to see the series from its origins. These games came a long way! Playing on Hard from the start and some missions are a breeze while others are nearly impossible. You lose your plane when you fail a mission (although you can just reload) so it's pretty serious. Can't wait to play 2 and 3 next.

Alundra: Replaying this beast of a game. Just finished the Lizard's Lair. This game is so beyond inspiring to me still. After playing Landstalker for the first time last summer there's so many similarities I'm picking up on than I never noticed before. Love the darker setting, love the music, love the dungeons, love everything about this game (other than roulette, lol!)

Silhouette Mirage: Replaying this as well. Saw all 5 paths back in the day, but I don't have a save file for the game anymore and I was in the mood to play a Treasure game so I figured, why not pop this beast in? Fucking love Treasure still. Forgot how out of control the plot was in this game. Bosses are incredible, as per usual. Holy shit at Za-Zohar!

Silent Bomber: Playing this for my first time. Never really heard about it until recently. Really cool Contra-like run & gun shooter. Cool scoring/combo system with S ranks and such. Game came from that MGS/Vagrant Story era of PS1 games. Game starts out pretty dark and serious! Murdering innocent people in a village (was a dream, though) during the tutorial stage. Pretty cool shit!

Just started my first Dark Descent tonight. I am seriously freaked out already and I haven't even met any bad guys yet. I'm currently hiding in a wine cellar, and it sounds like something mean and terrifying is stomping around on the floor above, but I'm too scared to go and find out what. I'm starting to recall why I don't play these kind of games.

I should have carried on looking for balloons in The Unfinished Swan. Much less stressful. Or maybe gone straight into my second playthrough of King's Bounty: Armored Princess. I played as a warrior on easy the first go round, and to be honest by the end it was starting to feel a bit too easy. A mage is next I think, with the difficulty turned up.

If you end up enjoying these early games in the series, also look into a PS1 game called Bogey Dead 6. It's an Ace Combat 2 clone, but it's also really good.

Persona 3 Portable. This made me go to sleep at 6 AM. I only just started and have played for like 4 hours. So far I'm really liking it, but I only hope it won't end up like with Fate/Extra which I basically couldn't force myself to pick up again after defeating like 3 or 4 servants.
Heard Persona has more everything, especially the non-dungeon elements so I might actually finish this one. F/E wasn't that great in that regard and I preferred the story parts of game - fighting became a chore basically.

I have been sinking lots of time into The Hunter. Waaaay too much time in fact. I'd had enough of the free version of the game (50+ hours played) and was craving some more guns/animals/hunting reserves so I snagged myself a 12 month subscription.
