I thought devolution made the forum more interesting; she was banned from time to time which was the proper way to handle her sometimes brash posting style, but it's unsurprising that instead of merely dealing with mods she also dealt with harassment. Men are so threatened by women with opinions it's pathetic and disturbing at times. Judging by what I've read on the gaf hate subreddit that were banned they are threatened by anything remotely progressive as well; particularly anything to do with gender issues.

At what point did Opiate consider it okay to even say that? That's ridiculous. Him being demodded is getting off lightly.

It's an unreasonable and unfair expectation for several reasons. Can't expect people to be completely devoid of emotions on such personal things and the level of discourse on GAF doesn't require it. I think such unfeeling commentary also removes the humanity that makes the discussion important and worthwhile. There's also the implication that someone can't be trusted to be rational because of what they have been through.

Edit: anyone ever go on those sites were banned members like to gather? Kind of weird and interesting.

Opiate seemed to think GAF was this bastion of emotionless discussion and that anyone who toed that line were being insincere in their arguments. Emotion being tantamount to biasness.
