what's everyone buying day one? (PS4)

Well, I had Driveclub preordered along with Knack and Madden. So now its just Knack and Madden. Nothing else interests me at launch so I guess I'm leaving it at those two.

Adjusting DC off the list I have a tentative list of games I will be playing either launch or close after

I'm sure I will try more of the f2p games but Planetside 2 is a no brainer and I will urge all my friends to DL that when it hits.
 
I don't know, still. I have no games pre-ordered. I was looking forward to trying Drive Club and I considered Watch Dogs but would probably have gotten it for PC. I've thought about Knack, but I don't think that's really my type of game. I'd get BF4 if I wasn't getting it for Xbox One.

I think thats it, I was going to go for Watchdogs if the reviews were good but now I think it'll be just Killzone and I'll pick up Assassins creed and Cod/Battlefield before the end of the year

We all buy console for the future. If it was just about the now then what are we doing spending money? This is the unit that will house many of Sony's best games for years to come. One doesn't think about Uncharted, Infamous, LBP, or any of their great games on day 1.

I see a ton of stuff to play even if it's just PS+ stuff but that doesn't discredit the large amount of content from day 1.

Make your own mind up.

Getting a PSN card next week when I trade in some games soon.
 
I ordered the Killzone bundle with PS camera and extra controller, I'm not going to play anything but KZ if the game is remotely as good as KZ2 multiplayer was / is : )

I want both those games but I don't think I could stomach 2 shooters on the first day. In all honesty I would advise and I guarantee one of them will suffer due to you liking the other most.

That and for me I'm getting BF4 on PC and can't spend money on 2 versions as much as I know several of my friends are going to be playing BF4 on PS4.

I would pick a shooter and something else unless you just crave and devour them. I know the pain of buying the same types of games over and over. I learned my lesson years ago on over saturating myself with one genre.
 
Well I was considering buying Killzone after Watch Dogs was delayed, but I just can't bring myself to paying full price for a game I know I won't like all that much. So for day one I'm going for AC4, I don't love the series but they can be fun and with side missions I can see it having some staying power. Then I'm picking up the PS4 version of Injustice Ultimate Edition. I never got around to picking it up, but it seems like a fun game. Still not sure if it's worth picking up a second controller, I can't remember the last time any one touched my spare PS3 controller.

Infamous isn't coming until next year.

If my Killzone Bundle (2 controllers, 1 cam, KZ SF) arrives quick enough (pre-Christmas) then just Fifa 14 and NBA 2k14. Will sell May PS4 preorder if I get a close date.

My PS Plus is running out at the end of 2014.
 
Killzone and COD Ghosts for me. I would probably buy BF4 as well but it looks like I can't afford it until in December. Drive Club could have been a day one or day two purchase if the PS+ edition had been convincing enough...

Actually, AC4 will be Day -8 here. It'll be weird.. not being able to put the disc anywhere. I wonder what happens when you put a PS4 game in a PS3.. hm.

PlayStation Camera, FIFA 14, BF4, and Knack will follow during the holidays.

This + Resogun + Contrast + Flower + the F2P games will keep me occupied for a while.

I'll pick up Knack if the reviews are good, and maybe NFS Rivals.

Also selling my current TV for a Sony Bravia KDL-50W656A before launch.
 
Killzone and that's it. There are gonna be lots of free games day 1. I feel like that will keep me occupied until Infamous comes out.

Battlefield MP is my crack. I need it. Back off. :P
And I've played all Killzones. KZSF is for the campaign. I will play some of the multi, but all my multiplayin' will be in BF4.
 
I won't be picking up my PS4 until February.
I which case I'll be getting inFamous Second Son with it. Maybe AC4 as well.
 
I might not buy anything at launch, I'm importing it and will probably buy a game based on reviews and have it delivered via playasia.

But do we know which f2p games are making it to launch? I know War Thunder is and that looks awesome, loved il2 including the 360 version. It's a bit embarrassing that a few small teams can get their ps4 ports ready for launch but Sony can't get either of their own mmos

Uhm.. Killzone and Resogun? There isn't really anything else I'd buy on the PS4. DriveClub was going to be one of them, but I wasn't sure on how good it was going to be.

Don't think I don't want to get BF4 but I know I will want it on PC as the kb/m controls are unbeatable with that game. I still am debating. I can still switch my KZ pre-order to BF but I'm trying to stand firm on that.

Next-gen consoles are gonna need all the players they can get so the games get filled. Buy it on PS4. Do it. Do it.

Oh and I'm also picking up an Xbox One, Forza 5 and Ryse a week later, so I have some other genres coming.
 
Have we had any footage of Lego Marvel on PS4 yet?

I'd like to pick it up at launch, but don't see the point if it doesn't have better framerate/cleaner visuals than the PS3 version.
 
People in or around Germany who are going to buy several games on release anyway may find this special offer from Amazon.de interesting: Pre-order two games and get a third one for free. *edit*Seems like they took the page down, should be back on Monday I guess.

You have to select two titles from FIFA 14, COD Ghosts, Battlefield 4 or AC4 to get either Knack, Killzone SF or Driveclub for free.
 
Console from Amazon then Killzone SF from a local store. There is already a free trial of Playstation+, which will be enough until Black Friday where it'll be $30 or less for a year.

Considering it still but you definitely have some good gaming ahead of you with both platforms.
