What's keeping you from buying a certain console?

360: Had one since launch. Love it

PS3: Getting one within a few weeks for sure. Just waiting on a refund check then the search for a 20 GB begins

Wii: Lame graphics, shallow and gimmicky mini-game nature of the games, unappealing franchises, well established history of drought after drought, man this list could go on forever. Will never get one unless Snatcher 2 is released for it
 
360: Price, no waggle, inferior graphics to ps3, no next gen optical drive.

PS3: Price and initial lineup.

360 and Ps3 are similar machines, I do not need both. Once the prices come down ill get one of them.

Wii: Have been waggling since launch :D
 
i already have a crappy, overpriced sony PC that runs linux and plays a few crappy games that would probably run better on different hardware.

"vaio" leaves quite the nasty taste in my mouth now.

That, and FFXIII isn't out yet.

I'm pretty sure a PS3 game needs to release with graphics superior to anything on the 360 before you can say that...all the PS3 has at the moment is potential.
 
PS3: worried how my TV will work with it, 1 game worth buying
Wii: no games worth playing right now, maybe never since I don't care much for Mario+Zelda+Metroid
DS + PSP: handheld is a gimmick to me, unless you're a commuter with a decent commute each day I don't understand why anyone would want such a limited portal device

X360: Not interested in it's games

PS3: Too expensive and waiting for DMC4 or FFXIII to be released + still in love with my slim PS2 and it's upcoming relases , i'd rather get the upcoming PS2 goodies (Rogue Galaxy,Raw Danger, God of War 2, Persona 3, Soul Craddle, Grim Grimoire, Chulip, Wild Arms V, etc) instead of a PS3 right now.

Wii: I already have one and all my gaming funds this year are going for Wii , DS and PS2 games plus some oldies i missed on GBA.
 
I haven't bought a 360 cause my roommate had one and now my brother has one, when I move out I don't plan on buying one cause there have been too many rumors about a redesign of the insides so I am going to wait and see if that pans out.
 
PS3 - Price and lack of games that interest me. I'm sure once the price drops and some games that I want come out I'll get one. . . likely some time in mid to late 08.

Wii - Not so much the price, but I'm on a tight budget right now so that'll have to do. I plan to pick one up by March at the latest. Even on release it had a few games that are of interest to me, notably Zelda and Metal Slug.

360 - Have it and love it.
 
Wii: Sold out (my Target had 8 at launch, and I'd imagine the numbers have gotten smaller since then.)

PS3: Where did I put that list...
 
wii: not interested in the gimmick, no killer app for me yet, same reason i dont own a DS
ps3: no HDTV, cost, lack of interesting games available
x360: no hdtv, cost, has enough content for me, BUT, i want to import one for senko no ronde, etc and im afraid of red lights on a 400$ import console.

I'm not sure, but it's possible. I'm basing these prices on the cheapest I can find online, I should mention.

No, not until Microsoft fix that PoS DVD they have in it. I like my consoles quiet.

360: Own.
Wii: Was going to wait for more games and till I had the extra money, but it was an early X-mas gift. So that was good.

PS3:
Not worth the money. Will wait till price drops.
No games. Will wait till good titles are closer to release.

you know what, there is a $499.99 SKU made for people like you all.

but 60GB is TRUE HD.

and it's the system i'll buy when FFXIII comes out and theres a price drop.
 
DS, PSP, PS3, PS2, GC: Already have one. Not getting two. :D

XBOX 360: If they didn't break down, I'd consider one. Also, I think the price is right for a premium at $300.

Wii: With the GC, I waited until it got down to a $100 and RE4 came out, then I got one and another 7 games for $20 each since. All were Nintendo 1st party games except for RE4 and REmake. The only games I've bought on GC at full retail was LoZ: TP and RE4. I will most likely wait to do the same thing with Wii. I don't have any problem waiting to buy a Wii at a $100.
 
I have a PS3.

360: Noise, cost, but mostly a lack of game time, meaning the PS3 keeps me plenty busy.
Wii: Not really sure it will appeal to me, can't find one, lack of a compelling game at the moment.
 
PS3: Price and game selection. It's going to take a lot of good games to get me to spend $500/$600 on the PS3. Now that I just bought a 61" 1080p TV however, the Blu-Ray capabilities looks nice. Still, until the console is either down to sub-$400 levels or there are at least 10-15 must haves, I won't buy a PS3.
 
Wii: lack of games (i can't stand zelda...) Waiting for Mario Galaxy, Smash Brothers,...

PS3: Not yet released in europe ^^

already own a 360, great console :)
 
PS3: Price is really high and it doesn't seem like it will have any worthwhile games for quiet a long time. I do like the hardware though, lots of great features.

Xbox 360: It doesn't look like it will ever have any exclusives that interest me.

Wii: I don't like the system at all and the only game that interest me is Metroid Prime 3.

To be fair, it isn't released here yet, but the prospect of spending AUD$829 on the cheaper version is just too much sticker shock. Maybe second hand...

Is the lack of an HDTV really a problem from enjoying a game on 360/PS3? It doesn't play any different, except for Dead Rising.
