What's On Your Bedroom Walls?

Nothing,

Was planning on putting somehting on the wall but couldn't be bothered.

Only some stuff on the door with those overhook door racks.

Pink and white striped paint with white crown molding and wainscoting. Then I also have a huge pinboard with hundreds of pictures of my friends, family and boyfriend.

Semi-erotic photography and artwork. Bedrooms are for sleeping and fucking. My geeky stuff is on the office walls.

There's a fire alarm. Does that count? Other than that just white paint.
I'm a minimalist person, by which I mean I own absolutely nothing that acts as decoration.

Nightcrawler (the Gyllenhaal face) poster, Hobbit poster, small Robert DeNiro / Taxi Driver picture, a couple of art prints from the Bioshock games, two vinyl records, a whiteboard, a music related (Dan Auerbach / Dr. John colab) poster that came with the CD and a clock.

I like to rotate my main posters to keep it fresh.

I should probably put more things up, right now I don't have anything hanging on my walls except for a framed 1987 Homer Hanky that belonged to my grandfather.

Three paintings that are more like drawings. Depicts sailboats, my grandparents bought them on an trip in the 50:s(maybe earlier not sure). No idea which country they are from but the boat designs feels vaguely Asian.

I find them restful to look at.

Wallpaper.I don't use my bedroom for anything but sleeping so I don't care.
Still trying to come up with some stuff to put on my walls in my living room though. I've been here for nearly two years and I still have nothing.

Native American walking stick, carved by my aunt.
& Old 60s guitar that's kind of a piece of shit, but it looks cool.

That's it. The ceiling is sloped so you can't put much up.

I thought this was going to be one of those threads where it's revealed in studies that every bedroom has THIS SCARY THING on your walls, possibly!!

Pleasantly surprised.

I have a bunch of posters I want to hang but I need to get them framed. Star Wars posters, concert posters, etc.

Because my bedroom is in the attic, I really only have 2 1/2 walls to work with. What's more, much of my wall space is blocked by floor-to-ceiling shelves filled with books, movies, video games, etc. All in all, my available wall space is fairly limited. The things I would consider proper wall decorations are

  • 2 posters:

  • A transparent triangle for blackboard drawing
  • A framed derivation of Pythagoras' theorem
  • A map of Ferelden I got with the CE of Dragon Age: Origins

In the room I sleep in, which is also where my girlfriend sleeps, it's a bunch of art and family pictures of her and her grandma and her friends. Literally nothing of mine is hanging up in that room.

In my office, I have a singular woven 4ftx4ft APMD flag. Here's a picture of it from back when I lived at home. I didn't take the Sleep poster with me, although it's a kickass poster.

Heres what's on my walls: 11 framed prints, pac-man clock, tin sign, guitar. Out of 11 prints, 2 were professionally framed at Michaels (Rattle that Lock and Gilmour live 2016 prints). 2 were bought pre-framed (Zelda, Floyd collage). Rest are put in cheap store-bought frames. The Paper Mario one was actually put in a frame of high quality, but it was cheap, as the print is only 10x15, from an old NP mag. Frame was pre-assembled mostly, from posterframedepot.com.

Starting with gaming related:

Some posters, pictures, my ex, a Robin Van Persie scarf, and a guitar...nothing too special. Maybe I'll add a TV and another girl soon.

Pictures of my kids, pictures of my grandkids, framed art prints featuring rabbits and hares (my wife's obsession) and on the back of the door where it can't be seen for 90% of the time a signed House Of 1000 Corpses poster.

Nothing particularly exciting. On the wall behind and to the left of my PC I have my bachelor's degree certificate and a couple of medals and other necklaces. Other than that the walls are completely empty.

Movie tickets! (my movie tickets, not random ones, from my cinema experiences) then Taylor Swift calendar, pokemon posters, the little post card size one is a photo of british soldiers at Liverpool Lime Street station in January 1945.

We have a 2 piece canvas of a tree/flowers above the bed. On another wall there are photos of the wife and I with our dogs. Pretty bare, but we're in the process of moving from an apartment to a house so I'm sure we'll decorate it for real soon.

No nerdy posters in the bedroom though... That's reserved for the office. I just bought an awesome Metal Gear Solid poster that I'm in the process of framing.
