What's The First Game You Played On An HD Tevelsion?

I think it was Smash Bros Brawl because the characters were too small on my old TV.
First "next-gen" game was probably Dead Rising.

Resistance: Fall of Man.

I bought a 37" (big at the time) plasma and a PS3. Had a lot of fun, but the early selection of PS3 games wasn't great. My buddy opted for a 360 instead and once I played Gears, I had to get it. 360 ended up becoming my primary platform this generation.

Which released first out of X-Men Legends on the original Xbox or GT4? I have a feeling I played X-Men Legends first either way. First this gen game was Kameo I believe.

It may have been Joust. :D
It was always one of my favorite games since I was a kid ; it was available on XBLA for the 360 and helped me "jump in", I think it's the first game I bought and played (followed closely by Perfect Dark Zero and Ninety Nine Nights, if I remember correctly).

I had a 480p/1080i CRT way back, so GT4 in 1080i mode was my first. It's kind of hard to call that HD, though, since it was really running at 640 x 540 which is only a slight improvement over the regular 640 x 480. However, the interlacing did trick you into seeing more horizontal resolution.

The first true HDTV experience I had was with Gears of War. A friend of mine had an 360, and I had that HDTV CRT (didn't know anyone else with an HDTV at the time), and I bought Gears of War so that he'd bring over his 360 to play it on my TV. It looked pretty good.

Although I wasn't so much impressed with the resolution as the polygons/effects. I'd been playing PC games at high resolution for years. My mind had already been blown by Quake 3 by this point.

Uncharted 1. It was not only my first HD game but my first Sony console too. The game jumped on my radar after watching the Gametrailers review, and I had a great time with it. Hopefully next gen we'll get great new IPs early on too like this and Gears.

I think mine was Gears of War. I remember when I went out and got my first HDTV - a Westinghouse 37" tv. I was in love! Still have that tv too except now it's in the bedroom and rarely used.

To be honest it has been so long I don't even remember.

I know it was one of the 360 games I bought on launch day, but I couldn't tell you which one. Maybe PGR3?

In any case, it looked awesome on my 46" Toshiba DLP (which I have since upgraded from).

My first "HD experience" was playing PC games on my Matrox G400 at 1600x1200. This was in last millennium.

The first game I played on a HD television was Lost Odyssey I think.

yea need for speed 4 at 1600x1200 back in the psx days, lol.

First game I've played on a HDTV was DMC4 if you don't count ffxi on pc outputted to a tv, 720p at 60fps, so good.

Amped 2 or soul calibur 2 for the Xbox 1

Both games ran in 720p. Got it a couple months before 360 came out.

Far Cry 2

I was so amazed by finally owning a flat screen tv (a hell of a lot smaller than my old one) but still amazed at how it looked.

Now I don't even use my damn tv for games anymore, it's all played through xsplit.

Gears of War, my jaws dropped. I brought the Xbox 360 with the HD DVD add on and put in King Kong and I remember the feeling of wanting to be on that island.

Non-PC game: Mass Effect when my Dad bought the family 32" LG LCD and a 360 for Christmas. It was a good day.

Gears of war for me. Was absolutely a mind blowing experience when i hit the rain level on my brand new 360 and plasma TV. Also i remember playing eternal sonata and thinking it looked like a painting in motion.

The first Assassin's Creed. That wasn't on my own television, though. I bought my first HDTV right before MGS4 came out and that's also the first game I played on it.
