For those that are unfamiliar with it, there's a stage that involves two trains side-by-side on parallel tracks. You start at the back of the train and work your way forward, crossing between the two trains as you go, having to mix up your tactics between close-range encounters inside train cars, to long-range sniping enemies on several cars away, and even some mechs and aerial vehicles you have to deal with and can pilot. It's a fun and well-varied assault as you press forward.
However, as you get to the front of the trains, the two are connected together via a large cannon on the train engine This cannon is not something that can be feasibly operated by a single player - you need your entire team to work together to realistically make use of it, as it has separate stations for fine aiming, quickly rotating the cannon around, charging and loading ammunition, and of course, you have to go and actually get ammunition from the stores below... On top of a pair of turrets on the two sides of the car that players can operate to shoot down enemies or chip away at the boss.
The boss being that giant sand worm in the pictures. You have to kill it - and it just so happens that the cannon shells deal big chunks of damage to it, and it can surface from being submerged under the sand on any side, so you have to scramble to not only retrieve, charge and load ammo, but you also need to coordinate to both swing the cannon around to the right general direction, and then have someone do the fine-tuning of the aim and actually fire it to score a hit. It's an incredible amount of fun as a co-op mission.
It's too bad that the fastest way to kill it is to just unload burst-fire sniper rifles into its weak points instead, only using the cannon for the final blow.
