What's wrong with The Dark Knight Rises?

God, this looks even worse than I remember. Probably in light of The Winter Soldier.

Yeah. This is probably the one point I can and will continually hate on about these movies. What makes it worse is they have a batman with the build and the suit to make fights look great but noooo 'this is not a dance, blah blah blah' Fuck off. Plenty of movies since Bourne and up to TWS have shown this doesnt have to be the case. At least make them look like skilled martial artists.

I think the stunt choreographer throughout the trilogy just sucked ass and Nolan didn't know or care enough about this aspect to fire his ass. I want to blame Keysi Fighting Method (blarghh) but Cruise actually made it look decent in Jack Reacher.

I wanna know. I saw it and enjoyed it. Easily the least good of Nolan's trilogy, but it's still a damn good movie, imo. I see it getting shit on constantly, I have two friends in Buffalo who constantly harp on it but they do little else besides say how bad the dialogue is in the first scene and make fun of Bane's voice.

No sense of time would be the biggest flaw imo
When bane fucks up batman and throws him in the hole it feels like he gets better in five minutes and then runs back to the city within hours and nothing has changed

does Bruce wayne have a transporter and wolverines blood on hand????

The fight scenes in the entire trilogy are terrible. I don't know why people single out Rises in this.

I just want a film Batman who fights as badass as Arkham Batman. Is that so much to ask?

Disagree, he is actually Ninja like for starters, picks people off like Arkham games funnily enough, the close combat is chaotic but think it works pretty well in Begins and his training, drug effects were nicely done.

Dark Knight, gadgets and vehicles more than anything which wasn't the best. He doesn't fight much in this at all except the weak sonar ending.

Rises was awful all round with fights.

Bane makes up for all shortcomings. He is the most memorable movie villain since Darth Vader

Alright, well no, but I'm going to defend you and say he's fairly memorable. I happened to think he was pretty cool, and I liked Ledger's Joker too.

I feel like the novelty of Nolan's spin on the Batman property had worn off by Rises, and it just felt like a bland movie.

The fights in bb were horrible because it was all garbage shaky cam. Dkr has the same terrible fightsbut without the horrible shaky cam covering it up.

The plot was not very good. For example:

If the prisoners of Arkham were released, why no mention of the Joker?

What was the point of taking Gotham hostage again? I forget.

What was the point of leaving Bruce Wayne in that stupid Turkish prison instead of killing him? I forget.

What was the point of Catwoman?

Why Anne Hathaway?

Why was Bane so notorious as to be wanted by Interpol? They never explained this. Or did they? I forget.

Why was JGL in the movie? And why am I tired of his face? He was in the movie right? I forget.

ALFRED
Master Wayne, if you’re considering
going back out there you need to
hear some rumors surrounding Bane.

WAYNE
I’m all ears.

ALFRED
There is a prison. In a more
ancient part of the world. A pit.
Where men are thrown to suffer and
die. But sometimes, a man rises
from the darkness. Sometimes...the
pit sends something back.

WAYNE
Bane.

ALFRED
Born and raised in a hell on earth.

WAYNE
Born in a prison?

ALFRED
No one knows why. Or how he
escaped. But they know who trained
him one he did...R¯a’s al Gh¯ul. Your
mentor.

Wayne takes this in. Shocked.

ALFRED
He plucked Bane from a dark corner
of the earth and trained him in the
blackest disciplines of combat,
deception and endurance. Just like
you.

WAYNE
Bane was a member of the League of
Shadows.

ALFRED
Until he was excommunicated. And a
man considered too extreme for R¯a’s
al Gh¯ul is not to be trifled with.

Lol

Alfred. GOAT detective. Movie was so shit.

Loved it, was my favorite comic hero movie of that year (thought it was better than The Avengers by leaps and bounds). It could have done with more "Batman" sequences, but it was solid from start to finish and rounded out the trilogy excellently..
