What's your favorite new Link design?

I'm kinda hoping WiiU Link doesn't wear the green tunic, or until at least later in the game. Just for a change. I love what he is wearing.

I think WiiU Link is a super interesting take on Link and I'm excited to see where it goes. I think Hyrule Warriors Link looks really good as well though, so I'm not sure where the balance is there.

I think the scale might tip slightly on ZeldaU's side. Smash comes up last, but the design is still totally fine.

Hyrule Warriors Link is my favorite of the 3. Zelda Wii U Link looks cool but I haven't seen enough of him to really get an opinion. I'm not a fan of Smash Link's face, this will sound weird but I keep thinking his in-game face looks like Fox's

The rest of the model is fine though, just a tad bit boring.

Skyward Sword Link looks pretty great, haters stay pressed.
He also gets a plus for having the best artwork in the series.

More OT: I like Zelda U's design, followed by the HW design.
The Smash design isn't bad, but it's not great either.
They should have just used SS Link.

WiiU is amazing. Hyrule Warriors in some shots looks great, others, meh. Smash Bros official artwork is great, in game is crap

Post the smash 3ds in game too, that looks pretty good too

I like the Smash Bros concept art the best, but actual in game probably WiiU Link. Interested in seeing his final look after he gears up.

Should be noted that TP link was my favorite overall.

Well, the character model for Smash Bros Link isn't flattering. I think Hyrule Warriors Link's design wins out, but just barely. I just like how it combines new and old elements to the design that adds a tad of feminine characteristics into his facial features, but he still looks strong, and really, the scarf is bad ass touch.

As for Zelda Wii U's Link character design, he obviously looks more feminine and also youngest of the three, which to me, is a bit off putting, but I can't deny how beautiful the new art style is. Also, the animation is certainly going to be the most fluid and impressive of the three character design candidates.

I like Smash's render of Link (in fact, I think it's the best representation of him), but I don't really like how he looks in-game.

In game smash 4 Link looks so weird for some reason :/

I don't like the scarf for HW, and just the whole design in general.

U Zelda Link for me!

Bonus: SS Link is probably my favourite. I really wish Smash went with his SS design, would have been so good.

The HW one is absolutely hideous.

Make Wii U's Link look 8-10 years older and less feminine and it's the best of the three.

Give Smash Bro's Link the blue scarf and he would be the best design. Otherwise, I guess I'll still pick Smash Bro's Link.

If by some miracle it turned out Wii U was female Link, I'd love the hell out of the design.

Wii U Link is the best, but they'll probably ruin it by throwing on the green tunic and cap, just like they ruined pajama Link from Wind Waker.

Wii U Zelda has a great Link design, and I think the artstyle helps tremendously. Smash's design is an obvious rip from TP but I think that design is great, the only issue is the in-game character model.

Hyrule Warriors has a bunch of character designs that look ripped straight out of a shitty shonen series so that Link falls below most of them for me.

Hmmm? Looks more like a combo of TP and SS Link.

Why does Link have to look more macho? There are guys who have feminine features, and are especially favored in Japanese culture.

Sorry if I sound condescending, that's not my intent! :P I'm just genuinely curious because I've heard people (not you) call this Link a pansy and the other p word just because he looks more androgynous, which I think is a bit narrow-minded, IMO.

The OP made me realize how feminine all of these new Link designs look. Nintendo should just let players choose if the want to be a boy or a girl at this point. They wouldn't even need to change the character model, and the whole point of Link is to be the player's avatar anyway. They would need to only need to add a text box at the beginning asking about gender and change absolutely nothing else in the game.

I like the artwork for the Smash Link, but the in-game model is pretty ugly. The Warriors link looks pretty great - no big changes, but I like the scarf and the splash of colour the blue brings to his outfit. Not especially keen on the Zelda U costume, but I also doubt that will be his main or only outfit in the game.

I kinda like the way they appear to be doing it with Zelda U. Make the character so androgynous that individual players could consider Link either a boy or a girl. That way there is only one definitive character model. Of course, that all hinges on NPCs not using gender specific pronouns in reference to Link. I think this is what Aonuma was hinting at when he told GameInformer, "That might be something that we consciously kind of did" (in reference to Link's gender not being as pronounced).

Nah, just give Link a text box already.
It's been obvious since WW that they've wanted him to be a full fledged character.
Make him a girl in one of the future installments, and then make him a PoC.
One step at a time....

In-game he looks bad, but I like is artwork:

It's classic, simple Link. None of all that extra pattern design crap, lots of embroidery and stitching. That's a sin most modern Links are guilty of. Sometimes I just like the simple look more.

I prefer the orginal design for that game

edit: as for the OP, I like the concept art of Smash 4
and the in game of Hyrule Wariors

I also think the Zelda U take is very intresting. But will have to wait and see once it releases.

I agree with what you said. Despite not translating well to the full game, ALBW had the best Zelda character designs since Wind Waker. It perfectly captured classic Zelda for a new age, the only design I thought was bad was Yuga's.

The new zelda looks great but i would have killed for a zelda that looked like the tech demo

I cant get behind his "frosted hair" looks very hard. and the heavy black occlusion shadowing all around. Some odd and contrasty colors going on. But overall design is ok and looks like the most advanced yet classic design of Link.
