What's your go-to multiplayer game these days?

Haven't played any online game for more than a few hours since I retired from Warhawk in 2011. Starhawk was great but the same magic wasn't there.

Don't have one.

Halo 4 and ME3 multiplayer would be mine BUT i don't pay for Live Gold anymore.

On PC, i have DOTA2, MechWarrior Online and PlanetSide2 but i play each only rarely. Don't have enough patience nor care to master DOTA as fun as it is (shit game for casual MP gamer as i'm nowadays), MWO's issues pushed me of the game for now, and PS2 i started again today but i wonder how long i will keep playing it. EDIT i also have SC2 WoL but i never got into it, it is not fun like Warcraft 3 was. Too big armies for me.

I'd play EVE Online or some other MMO but can't afford them right now.

So, no go-to MP game. What i want doesn't exist. Nor will anytime soon, for it is too niche.

Co-op games.

My go-to co-op game is L4D2. So much fun even after so many hours put into it.

From time to time I play some Fifa (2vs2).

I've played through Dead Space 3 with a friend recently (terribad game) and I'm playing RE6 (terrible too).

But with a friend even those games are bearable.

It was Quake Live for a couple years, then Tribes: Ascend for about nine months (and a solid amount of Diablo 3), then Path of Exile for a couple months, but lately, nothing really.

I've been waiting for a new MP game of some sort to grab me.

BF3. With all the different themed DLC packs, it feels like several shooters in one. Planetside 2 occupied my time for awhile too but didn't feel as suited to casual play as BF3.

2 for me now:

now that gears of war judgments awfulness is out: gears of war 3 for the 60 percent of the game I haven't seen since abandoning it a year and a half ago: my friends love it as they don't have GoWJ and I tell them every day it fails at everything 3 did masterfully

and as of yesterday:defiance(360) sure it looks like shit but it's fun as hell and for those of us that dont play MMO's but like to kill things and get loot: it's perfect. so fun with a few friends. tons of challenges and missions to grind. perfect game for drinks and buddies

The scale in PS2 is worth trying, but BF3 is good enough for me now until I build a new PC and SOE optimises the game some more.

I finally got fed up with Halo 4. I've moved on to playing BF3 online and LANing Halo 3 with friends.

ME3. Shame support for it has stopped, but the amount of free content they've given us over the last year has been outstanding.

World of Tanks. Very active and new content coming out regularly each month.

plus Persona4 Arena, but that's just with friends, not public games.

Online games just don't do it for me anymore and haven't for more than half a decade+

Really tempted to play Ultima Online sometimes but... yeah

Well you're already better than me, I have a Colonel 2 with a career 0.84 KDR, 10% accuracy and like 400 SPM hah. I think I take too many breaks from the game to be any more consistent than that.

Heh, my accuracy has never been an issue but one thing that I realized way too late into the game is you shouldn't be judicious in your ammunition usage. I hold the button down now and don't let go! I used to have an over 25% accuracy rate; now it's dropped to 18% but hey - I kill people! Maybe this can work in your favor.

Also, a cursory glance at my top stats show that I am an "awesome" team player - but that's because I've traditionally sucked so bad at doing anything else!

Even though I suck so bad at it, it's still an amazing game though!

Battlefield and Halo although 343 really needs to get their shit together or the future of Halo mp is in danger.
