Whats your "I'd buy that console for game xy alone"-Game?

If I didn't already own the consoles:


I'd buy a PS3 just for VF5, or just for Uncharted.

I'd buy a 360 just for Mass Effect, or Bioshock.

I'd buy a Wii just for Mario Galaxy (in fact, only for Galaxy)
 
Own all three already
Wii: Zelda TP
360: Gears and backup's ;) Fuck halo!
PS3: Resistance and NG sigma (missed on original xbox). And future potential :lol. But really I'm mostly waiting on MGS4 and GT5, I couldn't give a shit about FF 13, only reason I'd want it coming out would be to convince cheap developers to start showing PS3 some love.
 
I'll buy a 360 when NG2 comes out.

I bought a PS3 'cause it is a cheap blu-ray player and it has a few games I wanted, and should have some good exclusives coming out.

Only an entirely different direction from Nintendo would get me to buy the Wii.
 
Back in the day I bought a Genesis just for Madden 92 (so did 3 of my friends). We still play it about once a year.
 
I had a gamecube and was utterly disappointed with it. Then I played at a Halo LAN party one time at a friend's house all night long. I called in sick the next morning and slept all after noon. After I woke up, I felt really guilty for calling in sick. 10 minutes later I stopped feeling guilty and went and bought an Xbox and HaloCE. The only other games I ever owned for it were Morrowind: Elder scrolls and Halo2. And the morrowind game i bought because it was 20 bucks.

I bought a 360 solely for Halo3. And I'm guessing that a year from now, Halo3 will still be my favorite game for the 360. You can look at it right now and be disappointed with it, but Bungie is one of those developers that never rests until they feel they have pleased their fans. The new maps and adjustments made to the game will only help Halo3 to get better and better. I truly believe that.
 
SF4, DMC4, RE5, FF13, MGS4, GT5, FF7 CC, WiiFit, Team ICO's next game, almost anything Level 5 puts out, TC4 was on my list, but after looking at the subpar graphics, I'm going to have to scratch it off. These are all my console sellers.

To the gaming gods, please get SEGA to make a Initial D: Arcade Stage with online racing, new tracks, new cars, etc for the PS3 or Xbox 360.... I'll suck SEGA's DICK for it.
 
I would definitely buy a PS3 for Uncharted if I had money. Same with the PSP and Daxter or God of War.

Already have a Wii and DS, and there's not really anything I particularly want on the 360.
 
Already have the PS3 and 360 as it is.

In order to get me to buy a Wii I'd have to have some Sega Greatness on the Wii.
Something like a new Virtua Racing,a new Daytona,Sega Touring Car,or even a Sega Racer's Megamix of sorts,and these games HAVE TO BE MADE BY THE ORIGINAL TEAMS that worked on the previous arcade versions. None of that farmed out shit to some chuck and Joe developer here,the real deal or I won't bother.

If that happens then and only then I'd buy me a Wii. Hell if all those games I mentioned above showed up the Wii would probably jump ahead of both the PS3 and 360 for me.
 
I can't think of any. If I didn't already have a DS, it would be for the Dragon Quest series. If I didn't have a Wii it'd be for Fire Emblem. If I didn't have a 360 it would be for Geometry Wars. (actually, that was the system seller for me).

Exactly how much of a price drop would justify GC graphics on a Wii for you? And do you think that it'll turn out to be a fad? If so, how long do you think it has before it turns into a fad? A $150 price drop should do it for me. Maybe $100, if it doesn't turn out to be a fad by next year.

Anyway, I definitely would've bought PS3 for Ratchet and Clank by now. That game looks faptastic in 720p.

I did the same thing but went out and bought a PS1 about twenty seconds after seeing the opening movie/mission being played at a friends house. As for right now I'm all full of nostalgia after playing Super Metroid. So gimme another one for my HD and I'll do anything you want! Though I'll admit that I haven't been following the newer ones at all.
 
Nintendo console for Pokemon obviously.

PS3 for Stanglehold with Hardboiled HD on Blu Ray.

. And Resistance- my fav FPS.
 
I almost bought an Xbox for Midtown Madness 3 back then. But ended up not doing it and still i've never played the game. Stupid MGS for not making a PC version.
 
If there was a console that could play PC games perfectly, I would buy it just to play Grim Fandango without all the freezing and stuff that comes with playing it on my current PC.
 
I bought a 360 for Halo 3 (followed by the yearly maddens)
I bought a wii for the upcoming Smash Bros. game(and the virtual console)
I haven't bought a ps3 yet because nothing has peaked my interest yet.
 
I'd buy a Wii for a modernization of the StarTropics franchise.

Or alternately, ANY new Nintendo franchise that took itself seriously as a piece of art.
 
I'll jump back in for Crackdown 2, assuming it's still relevant after infamous and Prototype. Fable 2 might do the trick, but that'll probably come to PC too.
 
I just bought a 360 (last week), mainly for mass effect...
... and also bioshock... and that italian car thingy game that came with it was pretty cool too... and ...

I honestly dont give 2 craps about mgs (altho i'll b all over it when it releases
fall 2012?
), but i'd get a ps3 just for ff13.
 
The only console I don't have is a PS3. And the only game that will ever make my buy it (Aside from a maximum of $250 pricetag) is the next Team ICO game. After ICO and SOTC I can't wait to see what they do next in HD. (Even if it's just HD updates to ICO and SOTC. I would buy.) I will pay a lot for that muffler. Seeing as Katamari is no longer exclusive. And Jak and Daxter are dead. ICO is all that's left. And lack of BC makes me almost reluctant to even pay $250.

I already got my Xbox 360 for Dead Rising. That was an expensive game. Costing me a total of $1400 + Tax. But it was worth it.

And the Wii was just natural. I always buy Nintendo consoles on or shortly after launch.

DS was day one for Mario 64DS. DS Lite was day one for the sheer Apple-ness of it and its better-ness too.

PSP was day 2 for Lumines. But remains my biggest gaming regret since actually getting into the collecting phase in 2003 and buying all those outdated old consoles off eBay. I'd sell it but I'd get nothing for it at all. Was fun for a while though.

PS2 for Katamari.


@ StarTropics person: Hell yeah. I'd kill for a modernized 3D translation of the first game. Shame this game didn't get much love aside from that one sequel.
 
Solely because of a specific game...

a PS1 because of **** Raider and Mortal Kombat 3 (the real icing on the cake was FF7 though)

a N64 because of GoldenEye

a Dreamcast because of Soul Calibur

an XBOX because of Halo (I really bought it used, and to this day the only two games I own for it are Halo 1 and 2).

a PS3 because of the MGS4 and Little Big Planet videos (I'd have bought one anyway because I knew FF would be on PS3, but these are the two games that made me excited for it)

Bought a 360 for Halo 3 and Fable 2
At this point I'd only buy a PS3 if it had a Final Fantasy VII remake or an exclusive Resident Evil or Silent Hill.
I'm buying a PSP for the Final Fantasy Tactics remake and Silent Hill 0

Wii and DS I bought because they are pure awesome.
