What's your ideal environment for gaming?

Slowly making my way through RE7, because I only like to play it in prime time: late at night, alone, with the lights off and volume up. Pretty much my ideal setting for playing any horror game. Extra fun if I'm in a slightly depressed or "I don't give a fuck" mood.

What are your favorite conditions to game under?

I like all lights off with the tv dim and warm colored. I'd rather be closer to a smaller tv than farther from a bigger one. For sound I'm good with stereo as long as there's a subwoofer. And I prefer to be lit af.

I prefer to play on my 60 inch 4K TV with little lighting. I'll connect my headphones to my xboner and make sure I have some chips to snack on. Lately been playing Zelda botw on my 60 inch but can't plug in headphones to the grip controller. Fucking switch

Comfy couch in front of a nice, big TV at night. I'm amazed (and maybe slightly jealous) at people who can enjoy anything other than a simple puzzle game on a tiny screen out in public somewhere.

Favorite conditions?

Cold day (Cold by California standards so like 50 degrees) while it's raining heavily outside (But very light or no winds) and the sky is nice and dark.

my fondest memories of playing silent hill 2 on xbox were on days like this. in california, too.

What it currently is, corner couch facing my monitor and PS4. Headset on and bliss. Only thing that can make it better is cold weather with rain outside so I can get a blanket but for some reason this damn country has to be hot all the damn time.

Im okay as long as it's not sunny and windy outside, because too much wind fucks with my sunshades.
I need my living room dark and quiet.
Optimal time of day is usually 20:00-24:00.

Love that image. I'm with you on cold rainy day. Makes me feel like I'm not wasting my day if I can't walk outside anyway.

My mesh computer chair with keyboard and mouse. Playing on my couch makes my back ache (it's a bad couch) and using a controller for extended periods is never that comfortable for me.
