What's your oldest Steam game?

Retail key activations and particularly old store purchases will only display on the licences page (the former as "Retail" and the latter "Complimentary"). In my case, the first recorded store purchase is the Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus Package (03/09/2008), but in fact I purchased two items from the store earlier still: BioShock on 25/08/2007 and the Source Premier Pack on 25/09/2006.
Ah, right! The link's right below the purchase history link too, neato

It's also funny to see when I finally started participating in the good ol' christmas bargain hunt. It's mostly a few games here and there, but December 28/29, 2010 is apparently when I bought 7 titles in a row.

...half of which I actually played through, goddamnit

Counter Strike.

edit: Oh, you mean purchased. Half Life 2 then.

This was long ago when steam was an inconvenient pain in the ass.

edit 2: says 11/17/2004

I have played Half Life 2 all the days. An amazing moment...

Left 4 Dead 2. Was buying mostly multiplayer games on Steam. I was a gaming pirate. Steam sales got me on buying single player games.

I believe my first game that I purchased on Steam was Garry's Mod which was back in early 2008, but I might have bought and activated The Orange Box before that.

Half Life 2 - Think 2006 or 2007. I lost the account for it since I was not really using steam for PC gaming. My account I use now I have Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers as my oldest game. August 2010

Half-Life 2, retail copy.
April 5th, 2005

Originally bought it on sale for a HL2 Gundam mod that would never release. Never touched the game for a year.
Then Summer of 2006 I decided "I've had this for over a year... I should probably try it."

Absolutely loved the game. Became my favourite PC game. Immediately bought Half-Life Anthology (retail) after beating it so I could get the first half of the story and hopefully understand more... It just confused me more (I beat it though). Yay for wiki info.

As for Steam, hated Steam back then, couldn't game on PC now without it, lol

My Steam account is from December 2, 2004, so it was a few months before I actually had a game on my account.

first game i bought on steam was skyrim during the summer sale of 2014. my crappy laptop couldn't run it at anything above 15fps.

what the hell

I remember no such thing

I don't even know of dark messiah until recently

Well, you are talking about something that happened a decade ago. You probably won the key in a raffle of some sort but never actually played the game.
