What's your opinion on clubbing?

Don't really go clubbing anymore unless it's a close friend's birthday and they have it there I guess. I am going to EDC 2012 in Vegas though. It will be my first, excited as hell for the music, the vibes, and the spectacle. Should be fun times ahead. :)

I don't think clubbing is really the place to try and pick up someone. For one it's usually dark, the music is too loud, and you can't really talk because of it.

Clubbing:

1.) Don't go alone.

2.) Don't drink alone.

3.) Don't go expressly looking to pick up a chick, but be as social as you can be.

4.) Don't go hoping to find the love of your life.

Never been to one.

I know that if I did go, I'd be awkwardly stood in a corner watching all the lads pulling women. Then I'd just want to get out of there as quickly as possible.

I don't think it's for me.

I do a bunch. But then again, I like loud music, alcohol, and dancing.

When I was in Vegas not too long ago, my friends and I hit almost every club on (and off) the strip. Absolutely earth shattering levels of fun.

Don't go so much these days, but last weekend I helped organize a fundraiser that we hosted at a club. I knew about 50 people there. Lots of hot girls. Can't remember the last time I had so desperately wanted to be single again.

Go with friends.
a) You won't be standing on your own, which would be creepy.
b) You'll always have someone to talk to (ie, shout at).
c) Wing man support.

DON'T buy drinks for the girls. That just gives them what they want and makes them less interested.
DO talk to as many girls as possible. Other girls notice this and it makes you look interesting.

This is fucking solid advice. Listen to this.

Uuugggghhhh. I am jelly as fuck.

If the cover costs more than $7, and the drinks cost more than the cover, DON'T GO. It'll be full of twits who spent more on the shirt they're wearing than you made all week.

I'm a bigger fan of bars if you're looking specifically to pick up chicks. That way you can actually talk to them. If you don't like drinking or dancing, I'm honestly not sure why you'd go to a club, though. The women that frequent these places are usually super hot, so I guess that's one perk.

Usually when I go clubbing, I end up dancing the night away with some random hot chick but then we split at the end of the night. I don't get the logic, but apparently club girls will grind up on you for an hour and half but the second you suggest going somewhere quieter where you can talk, that's a red flag. I usually leave with blue balls and a hole in my wallet (from cover fees + my own drinks), but I have fun more often than not.

Because dancing is fun by itself. You can dance with someone for a while but when it comes to fucking you choose more carefully.

Most bars in Sydney just turn the music up to obscene levels after 10pm so you can't hear what girls are saying anyway.

I'm too much of an in my own head kind of guy to let loose at a club. Places that don't require dancing are more my style.

Haha, yeah, I was just being sarcastic, I definitely get that. It's just funny dancing with someone for so long and then when you suggest going somewhere to talk it's a no go. It's like the opposite of social norms, but I guess that's why people go to clubs.

I enjoy them but I'm one of the guys that like to dance, so sometimes I like going just to dance. Women at clubs think all guys are trying to hit on them though so even if you are like me and sometimes actually just want to dance, you might get blown off because they think you're not attractive or I dunno. Anyways, picking up women at a club is usually fairly simple but if you can dance I think you have a much easier time doing so.

I admit I'm guilty of this. But it's probably because a lot of guys think that "dancing with a girl -> hooking up" whereas, at least for me, there's a time for the dancing and another time for the "hooking up". Someone who was good for the former might not be so much for the later.

I like dancing and electronic music, so I go to clubs. But "clubbing" also seems to mean picking people up for casual sex, which isn't for me. So I guess I don't know?

This. I usually go with a group of friends I know (girls included) or with a girlfriend.

Usually go to more electronic shows anyways, which can be sort of clubby, except that more people are there for the music

A place where people dry hump and flirt under the pretence of dancing

Its fun in the right circumstances. And by right circumstances, I mean drunk as fuck. Brings out the dancer and predator in me. But, considering you don't drink, I have no advice to really give. Just go with some friends and give a few places a shot. Meeting girls at clubs is usually easy because, in my experience, women at clubs are looking to be noticed. And you might be just the guy for that

It was fun when I was 18. You outgrow it fairly quickly. Only so many times you walk out of a place like that with your ears ringing where you figure out that it's not as much fun as you thought.

Now it's pubs and semi-pubs with live bands for me. Although I'll bring earplugs for some bands. New drummers and guitarists performing live haven't figured out that they don't have to go batshit insane on their equipment quite yet.

So, when you're at a club and dancing with a chick...what do you do if you get a boner? Recently single, never been to a club before, and am going this weekend apparently.

never go to clubs on friday and saturday nights, those are when the amateurs go out.

Loved it when I was underage and had to use fake ID's. Now I just like going to bars and stuff. Still sometimes a dude just wants to dance.

I've never understood clubbing. Shitty music with lame ass people that want to start fights for no reason. It sounds absolutely terrible to me. I'd much rather hang out at a low key dive bar or a pub.

I usually just keep dancing. I've had a few girls tell me it makes them feel sexy knowing that they turn me on.

I'll only ever go to gay clubs because I can't enjoy myself much with the macho posturing present at every single straight club I've ever been to.

But even still, it's not really for me. I like dancing and getting a charge on the social atmosphere every now and then, but I think that kind of experience is geared more towards a different kind of attitude than mine.

She will notice, no matter how much you awkwardly try to cover up with your belt. Try to wear something so that no one else notices, I'd say.

So most girls don't think it's creepy?
Depends on how you're dancing and how much she's into you.

If you're single, sure. If you're in a relationship, you're just asking for trouble.

I don't really know anyone that goes to clubs anymore (and I'm 23). People went in college, but once they got full time jobs, that part of life seemed to evaporate.

Used to go out all the time, fucking loved it!

Why cant I save this as a gif? =\

Pretty much. If she finds you attractive and you're grinding with her it will turn her on.

Everyone should go to a club once. I've only been once with some friends and I left reeking of cigarette smoke and alcohol, bloodshot eyes, a massive headache, and a bad taste in my mouth......All I had to drink was soda......

You can't hear people talk....The whole thing just doesn't work for me.
