Don't think I can nail it down to a single phrase or motto.

However, far too many events in my life have been preceded by saying "what's the worse that can happen?", or "How hard can it be?".

Along with "watch this!", events preceded by those words in my life have tended to end in some sort of disaster or injury.

I know that new situations can be intimidating. You're looking around and it's all scary and different. But you know, meeting them head on, charging right into them like a bull, that's how we grow as people.

Even the most cringiest thing is someone's favorite hobby, and as long as they're not hurting you, themselves, or others, just let them fucking do it.

(But you can still quietly think "man, thats kinda lame" to yourself if you really really want)

Pessimism: You're either right, or you're pleasantly surprised!

Kidding aside, it's more along the lines of "get your own, but don't be a dick unless you absolutely have to."

Humans are just meaningless carbon sacks of bio-electricity, be a hypocrite and pretend that life matters.

Don't steal, don't shit on your own doorstep, don't throw emotion around unless it means something, look after the people/animals you love, always be polite, have a good sense of humour, try to be kind whenever possible.

I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside.

Stoicism with a twist of Leibniz

If you can't do what you love, love what you do.

Generally:
Golden rule.

For my work:
Do something new/ push myself further and try to make it as polished as possible.
