When Pizza delivery takes way too long

I used to live with this black guy (still know him and kinda live with him again) and he used to NEVER tip the pizza guys...the problem was I ordered from the same pizza place and always tipped but they still spit in my food...I KNOW IT

That weird feeling when you read an OP, construct an answer in your head, then scroll down two posts to discover you already posted the reply you were thinking of... four years ago.

At least I'm consistent.

Pizza Huts great, especially the ones with Wingstreet. Only other major chain that is worth a shit imho is Papa Johns. Although, Dominos has made strides lately imho.

I would never pay full price for a pizza with a delivery time over an hour though. I delivered pizza for years, even at the busiest times, they take maybe 20 minutes to be made and cooked. Which means for 40+ minutes, your food has just been sitting there getting cold. I will call and either get the pizza free or get a good chunk knocked off, and still give the driver a good tip. It's not his fault the store is likely understaffed or extra busy.

Oh really. I dunno, I just came from a little town called New York and I had no problem sitting on the G with my pizza box.

The answer I would give is "I'd rather be doing a million other things with what little free time I have after work than walking to the pizza place and walking back home with it". Or, in your case, walking to the subway, waiting for a train, walking to the pizza place, walking back to the subway, waiting for a train, then walking back to your house from the subway station.

Also, I love how of all the lines you picked in NYC to exemplify speedy self-pizza delivery you chose the G.

But more importantly, don't bring your stinky assed pizza onto the subway. No one wants to be locked into a box smelling your food for 20 minutes. Do you also do your self righteous self-deliveries on the subway during rush hour? I bet you're the most popular guy on the train.

If you don't live in one of the pizza meccas like NYC or Chicago, you might as well just do frozen pizza instead of delivery from the national chains. The any decrease in the quality (lol!) of ingredients is offset by being able to eat it fresh out of the oven, and it is hella cheaper, especially if you use coupons. I'll take a $2.25 Red Baron pizza 2 minutes out of the oven over a 45 min old lukewarm Pizza Hut any day of the week.

I work for a local pizza shop, it's been open for 15 years running and still fairly profitable. I have seen it all, ask me anything.

There were nights where we probably cooked and delivered near a thousand pizzas.

I've delivered to households were a girl would answer the door completely naked. Smoking hot too - her intent is to pay the pizza in other ways.

I've delivered to places where as I'm delivering the police squad raids the house for drug busts.

I have had clients where they count to the second (they set a timer) and if the pizza is late by a minute past 30 minutes they'll call 911.

I've had the store broken into a gazillion times.

I've had delivery guys who took 2 orders and in between orders would use their 3$-4$ tip at the casino. They'll lose it all and deliver to location 2.

I've had insane fights break out inside the shop.

I've had clients use our business phone to "dial a family member" only to be ordering bag full of cocaine and getting busted by the FBI (we're in Canada)

On an average day 50% of our clientele is either drugged out of their mind barely able to walk or order by phone. Some cases they'll text their order because they're so drugged out.

I've had to kick clients out of the pizza shop for so many reasons, drugs, prostitution and theft.

.. Despite the bad area and the awful clientele we still put our best effort to keep the place super clean. The pizza delicious and our orders on time. It's getting more difficult as the years go on but yet here we are.

Solution: Bake your own pizza.

It's cheaper, healthier, and tastes a hell of a lot better.

So if I put Pig lard and chocolate sauce on my pizza and cook it, it'll be healthier?

Being a smart ass, I know.

Anyways, I live 5 miles from a Domino's and they won't deliver to me, since I'm in a different area code. I think the local pizza places here have a say in it

Happens to me all the time, so yesterday I decide to make my sushi order telephonically and then go pick it up myself. I'm about 20 mins away (yes i'm a lazy fuck), I get there and they haven't done shit yet, so i see a waiter scurrying to the kitchen telling the chef I'm here to pick up my shit. Best part is I scan around the restaurant and there are approximately 3 people in there and 2 chefs in the kitchen.

motherfuckers :'(
