I find this post insulting as Peach and Rosalina aren't the same person.
People think that they have the same personalty but they don't, Peach is more playful whereas Rosalina is more graceful.

Still waiting for the Peach/Daisy/Rosalina game, Nintendo. Make it happen. Platformer, RPG (A Paper Mario starring the Princesses would be a lot of fun, I think.) Adventure game, whatever. Make it happen.

I thought Captain Toad was supposed to be the Toad, which would mean he deserves a game sooner than a ton of characters by this point.

Nope. There's Toad, there's Captain Toad, and then there's Blue Toad and Yellow Toad from NSMB Wii/U.
I thought Toadsworth was suppose to be the Toad. Then everyone got sick of Toadsworth, so the Captain replaced him.

It was amazing like the 2nd week of mario kart 8 when pretty much everyone unlocked the characters by then, like 7 out of 12 racers were all rosalina.

Agreed. Better her than Peach though. Rosalina's the more interesting of the pallet and wig swaps I guess.

I would like a game with Rosalina because her magic/gravity(?) powers and Luma are more defined and different than the rest of the Mario cast and at least have to potential to branch out into different gameplay mechanics like Yoshi and DK have. This is assuming they do it justice though instead of making it like...Super Princess Peach or something.
It's also kinda weird seeing the hate for her in this thread. Talking about Rosalina being Nintendo's Lighting when she's only been in a few Mario games/spinoffs of all things is the height of irony.
In addition, she's got more backstory than most so she's not a blank slaet, isn't particularly stereotypical, has a neat sidekick like Luma, has room to grow further as a character, and the game could be fun/different.

My first thought as well.
Elaborating, maybe... we had super princess peach so maybe there is room for super rosalina. There isn't really anything befitting her gameplay wise besides the fact they introduced her into the new smash game.

I've seen so many conflicting reports about the main Toad character. Some things I've read have stated he is really Captain Toad. Others have said he is the same blue capped Toad from SMB2 and SM3DW.
I honestly think Nintendo doesn't care about consistent appearances, and any Toad that needs to fit a certain role is the main one.

She resonates with people. That's typically why people get popular. I like all of the Mario Princesses. It could be the design, it could be the voice acting, it could be, yes, the fact that Rosalina has a more expanded background compared to the other Mario series characters. It happens.
Personally, I think it's a combination of expanded backstory, combined with being the first really relevant Mario series character not featured in a spinoff, combined with Galaxy 1 and 2 being top notch platformers.
Also she wields the Power Cosmic.

Surprisingly, I think this is a pretty solid idea. I don't think they'd do it, but I'd personally be down for it.
Also, I'm laughing so hard at how many strong opinions this thread is bringing out. I honestly didn't know people really disliked her at all.
Talk of Rosalina's lack of personality feels short sighted imo. Daisy was once lacking in any personality as well and Daisy has now become one of my favorite princesses with how she's changed.
What I would like to see is not only a Rosalina spin-off game but possibly a game surrounding the 3 princesses of the Mario universe that takes them to many unique places. I can easily see the Mario & Luigi RPG concept being used as the bases for this. The team who does M&L also has a great team of writers that really bring out unique and varied personalities.
I have no idea what the story could be about but I genuinely believe it could be a really fun and funny game.
