Where is my Simpsons Arcade on XBLA damnit!

Konami got the ability to release the TMNT Arcade even without owning the current TMNT license, so who do they have to go through to get The Simpsons Arcade to get released.

Having XBLA without The Simpsons Arcade, X-Men arcade, and TMNT Arcade is a sin!

Seeing as how TMNT is one of the best selling XBLA games ever, Konami is just leaving money on the table by not finding a way to put X-Men and The Simpsons there.

Well its not Konami. Ubisoft published the TMNT: 1989 in partner with Konami. Konami had the game but was unable to retrieve the outdated audio if you recall the unlockables in TMNT: 2 / 3. Ubisoft with the new movie licsense had full control over everything in the TMNT franchise I believe due to Peter Laird attempts to bring the entire universe together.

Simpsons should be easier and I'm surprised they didn't for the film or even video game released last year. But there are plenty of games of this sort I would love to see released. Where is my Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa!!

Considering the big success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, you'd think that the Simpsons game would be a no-brainer.

Apparently, the publishers do have no brains.

I too would like to rescue Maggie, the diamond sucking baby, from the Jewellery store thief Mr. Smithers on Xbox Live Arcade™ this coming Summer, 2008.

The current license holder for video game versions of The Simpsons is EA. So, any deal Konami did with Ubi Soft wouldn't apply for this game.

I want the full dual-screen image of X-Men arcade or no sale.

Such a classic arcade game. I just wish it didn't eat quarters like TMNT/Simpsons

"Nothing can beat the blob!"

Edit: This should work on 16:9 displays right?

I played it at a pizza place last week. If anything it has gotten BETTER with age

Oh jesus, no, it has not. No amount of nostalgia has been able to save this game for me. It's fun for the first two levels, maybe, but it is not a good game.

Konami beat-em-ups were awful quarter munchers with little-to-no depth and a lot of cheap crap. They succeeded mostly just on the strength of their licenses.

Bullshit.
Konami beat-em-ups were awful quarter munchers with little-to-no depth and a lot of cheap crap that were a shit load of fun!

Konami had something like 8 out of the top 10 most requested arcade games for XBLA. Seeing how well TMNT did, I have no idea why we still don't have any more of their old arcade games on XBLA yet.

LIES AND SLANDER.

The game "skins" were interchangeable, the core gameplay was just arcade-perfect fun.

I did it for the lulz.
Breaking rule #1 and #2, newf*g

Also, I completely agree, and it makes even less to me that Konami didn't try and put out Turtles In Time to coincide with the DVD release. :|

I remember being determined one day to beat that damn game. I was like 9 or 10, I went there with $5, played it forever and still didn't beat that damn game! :lol

I loved that game though, make it happen already!

Well yeah, part of the problem is that it's just the same game again and again. You mash the same button relentlessly, occasionally doing the 1 special attack your character has been given. Do this through a few enemy waves, fight a cheap boss with no stun animations that just wails on you.....repeat until end, feeding quarters all the way.

It wasn't until Turtles in Time on SNES that Konami really showed much interest in designing a contemporary beat-em-up.

Where are the thousand other awesome arcade and old console games that haven't been put on XBLA? It's a joke. Instead we get PC shockwave flash games every week.

Their waiting for The Simpsons Movie to come out just like they did with the TMNT one...oh wait minute...

While we're at it, D&D arcade games on XBLA! Who's with me?!

All the way brotha! I can't read Japanese on the Saturn (I still have it and play once in a while though). I liked ToD better though.
