Huh? What does that even mean?
It wont be gold before release anyway. ;-)
I don't understand why people hold gold announcement in high regards. It's so unnecessary. We already know the release date, and by knowing when it's gold it doesn't make the game release earlier.
No not earlier, but I'm guessing people are fearing last minute delays and are using announcements like that as proof that it's coming out on time. Maybe?I don't understand why people hold gold announcement in high regards. It's so unnecessary. Um, yes it does.
"Gone Gold" means the final retail version of the disk is ready. Then have to send that to factories to start mass production, package them all up, ship them to stores across the world and have them all ready to sell on 11/4.
That's only 27 days away.
It's a bit unsettling if they haven't sent the final disk image to factories yet.

they never announce when their games go gold
Yes you were wrongI thought this game was coming this month! My Best Buy order says November though. Was I wrong this whole time thinking October?
If fairness - that was because they got pestered by fans, and it was very late (with Skyrim they only confirmed a week before release - long after the PC preloads).
The game is available on Xbox, I have it ready:

No it doesn't. Maybe it has "gone gold" in Bethesda's eyes but who said they need to even announce it to the public? Just have it on the shelves in November.
Sure
Wait for that day 1 patch
Came back in to say that, do people not look at the title and think "well, there's two pages already, so that means absolutely no one else has made that joke".Wow the sense of humour on this thread is pretty original. Must google some other "gold after launch" jokes.
To be honest i couldnt care less. Get me to the wastelands!!!!
Everyone will get that, even physical purchasers.
I thought usually they have to submit the game to Sony and Microsoft for certification before the content can be put on the store for preload or download. Usually this means the content your preloading or downloading is the certified game, which in turn means it's "gone gold".Not arguing with that, just saying that a pre load is not confirmation of the game being really gold

Seriously though, two pages of the same joke is just tiring.
Lmao, true, I just hope this won't be broke, Bethesda need to step their game up, it's going to hurt them one day, very very badly.Releasing broken experiences time after time is tiring. Maybe some day they'll take the hint.
