So I got the sudden feeling that I need to get more geek merchandise for my apartment and I'm not quite sure where the best places to go are. Essentially I'm looking for some websites where I can go to get anything nerdy/geeky. Where do you go to get your stuff, whether it's sites that feature really unique products or good deals?

I started off with subscribing to Loot Crate which looks pretty fun, any other suggestions?

BTW, I have a pretty wide range of interests such as Nintendo, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Disney, etc etc.

Where you at?

Edit: Ah, Kansas. I guess you could always look for a local comic book store if you want to see the product in person. Big Bad Toy Store (online store) has a lot of geeky stuff.

I've gotta recommend Etsy for homemade stuff. There's a ton of Nintendo stuff there, and some of it looks better than officially licensed products.

I have a MGS2 wall scroll I can sell you.

Also, I've done all the research necessary on it during college in order to confirm that it will not, in fact, get you laid.

seriously though, this dude has some pretty cool art...

Okay, this is awesome.... holy shit.

The guy has some incredible art. You can buy them as prints and have them shipped to you, then take it to JoAnn Fabrics and they'll frame it pretty well for a decent price. (Far less expensive than a frame/art shop.)

Or you can pay a bit more and they'll frame/mount it for you.

It'll cost some cash, but it looks good and even as you get older will work as man cave material.

Expensive but totally worth it. BTW I also saw this one:

The documentary is Man on Wire and if anyone ever has a chance to watch it I HIGHLY recommend it. Absolutely amazing. Might have to get this one... since the Kansas one is sold out :(

Always frame posters, even if it's just those $5 plastic kinds. It preserves them for when you can eventually afford better frames.

You guys are hitting all the best places here.

Lookhuman.com is okay. Not as good as etsy or thinkgeek, but it's where I got my penis tote.

Etsy is pretty amazing if you know what to look for (for example, this is hanging on our wall. Amazing artist, fantastic work). You can also check if there's a comic book shop near you, they generally have a lot of nerdy merchandise.

Because it's awesome and hilarious? I've carried it to the beach, kayaking, through airports. Most people don't realize what it is, but the ones that do are either disgusted or find it hilarious. but no one ever actually says anything. It's the best thing to carry around.

I guess if dicks don't do it for you, you can get a vagina tote?

Fancy Poster-GAF - Here's the thread for fancy poster-GAF. Subscribe to it. Just from the first posts you'll see how geeky merchandise doesn't have to look geeky.
Society6 - Plenty of stuff here that's part-art, part-geeky.
WeLoveFine - Lots of geeky clothes here.
Fangamer - Nice collection of clothes, prints and misc. that isn't as blatantly geeky as some other stuff out there.
Sideshow Collectibles - If you have deep pockets, you're not gonna find a better collection of statues and toys to spend it on.

How much does it generally cost to frame a poster?

Not much or quite a bit depending on how you go about it and the size of the poster. I have a 27x40 A Dame to Kill For poster that I put in a $30 frame that looks decent but uses plastic instead of glass. My three Zelda posters I took to a frame place and got some glass and metals frames that were about $60 each. At the lowest end, I bought a $10 frame at Target for a Frozen poster I got from my sister. It's nothing more than four strips of plastic, a plastic sheet and cardboard backing.
