Wherein GAF selects and ranks the best games ever released for the Sega Genesis

EDIT: Results posted on main site and previous page of this thread

Most of the results were predictably boring, imo. "SONIC + GUNSTAR, WOOOOO!"

Speaking of Gunstar, I'm hard-pressed to think of any other game that was relatively ignored during its heyday but turned around to become a system seller after the console itself was dead. Gotta love that Treasure hype machine, I guess.

Vectorman's placement is downright criminal. I guess not enough GAFfers got to experience its awesomeness. No doubt I will be making a thread for the game when it eventually gets released on the VC. It deserves no less.

Not that surprised over aladin. I remember it had great animation and was a pleasant platformer. Had fun renting it a couple of times.

That one isn't on the VC yet?

Kind of funny when it's on the Japanese VC first even though it wasn't ever released in Japan originally.

There's a lot out there that I haven't played yet. In particular, I wasn't a big RPG player in the 16-bit days, and it shows.

I am deeply disgusted by the lack of respect shown for Crusader of Centy.

Otherwise, cool results. Please do this again for other consoles.
I'm willing to do this, but only if somebody else can supply me with definitive release lists. I chose the Genesis for this poll partly because I was a Sega kid growing up and knew how to trim the types of games I didn't want (compilations, etc.) from this particular poll.
