Capcom and Microsoft Game Studios are tied for mine, but I have a feeling that's going to change sometime in the near future.

UPDATE: Tie broken. Just ordered Mass Effect, so...

UPDATE #2: Okay guys, I'm considering combining all of your responses to get a total for each publisher, but it's a bit difficult right now...

If you list multiple publishers in your post, please make sure you specify which one of them publishes the most games in your collection or your response will not be included.

As of post #84, these are the results so far:

Sony: 31

Nintendo: 15

Capcom: 5

Microsoft: 3

Ubisoft: 2

Square-Enix: 2

SEGA: 1

My top two:

Capcom

Bionic Commando Rearmed
Dead Rising
Devil May Cry 4
Lost Planet: Colonies
Puzzle Fighter HD
Resident Evil 5
Street Fighter II (XBLA)
Street Fighter IV
Super Puzzle Fighter

Total: 9

Microsoft Game Studios

Crackdown
Gears of War
Halo 3
Hexic HD
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect
Ninja Gaiden II
Perfect Dark Zero
Project Gotham Racing 3
Viva Pinata

Total: 10

I've got a pretty high turnover in games, so it wouldn't be fair to check only the ones I have here right at this moment. Makes it tougher to count and remember everything over the course of the last 2 1/2 years, of course.

But I'm pretty sure those would be Nintendo and EA in my library (library = games I owned or rented at one point during this gen). Followed by Ubisoft and Capcom.

Capcom:
1. Devil May Cry 4
2. Resident Evil 5
3. Street Fighter HD

Tecmo:
1. Ninja Gaiden

EA:
1. NBA Live 08

Konami:
1. Metal Gear Solid 4
2. Metal Gear Online (I separated both given they can be counted as individual games and also I currently invest the most time and effort in MGO out of all the games)

Ubisoft:
1. Prince of Persia (sigh)

Sony:
1. Little Big Planet
2. Resistance 1

Warner/Traveller's Tales
1. Lego Batman (sigh)

I refuse to take part in your stealth marketing survey. For shame. ;)

:lol

I'm just curious to see which publishers are getting the most support from a fairly large part of the gaming community.

If we exclude retro titles, handhelds, but include downloadables, then..

sony: 24 (over half of these are psn titles)
microsoft: 4
nintendo: 4
namco bandai: 3
ea: 3
take 2: 3
capcom: 2
ubisoft: 2
konami: 1

GRAND TOTAL is 110 Nintendo-Published Current-Gen games as of May 17th 2009

Wow, thanks for getting me to do this OP, I have been putting it off too long.

And for the record, Nintendo wins bar none. Nothing comes remotely close. 110, damn I had no idea!

Mine has a high turnover rate. But Currently it's SCEA at 8 (retail only) followed by EA at 7.

Damn, didn't realize how many EA games I have, none are their sports games except Skate 2 though. Not counting games I've already traded or sold.

I don't think it's fair to include VC, Huelen. ;)

Yup, Sony. Counting retail and downloadable:

Uncharted
Killzone 2
LittleBigPlanet
Folklore
Ratchet & Clank
Resistance (bundle)

14 downloads (including Siren, Warhawk & Wipeout)

=20

And 7 PSone classics.

It is more than fair, but even without it, it is still 63 fucking games. Seriously though, VC is fair game.

Most definitely. The way I see it, if it can be downloaded through a current generation service (VC, XBLM, GameTap, PSN, STEAM), it counts.

Nintendo: 32 (14 Wii, 18 DS)
Capcom: 9 (6 DS, 2 Wii, 1 360)
Sega: 7 (4 Wii, 2 DS, 1 PS3)

Counting games original to this gen only. Otherwise, Nintendo's number only gets stupidly larger. Actually, the one WiiWare game I downloaded from them (Dr Mario Rx) was an accident. :\

Hmm.

I'd say the largest individual publisher would be Nintendo... Nintendo games aren't the bulk of the library, but no other publisher has as many.

Can't be bothered to go through downloadable games, but as for full retail games:

Microsoft = 9
EA = 5
Capcom = 3
Take-Two = 3
Ubisoft = 2
Activision = 2
Bethesda = 1
SEGA = 1
Namco = 1

Sony's 1st party games are the main reason i prefer the PlayStation systems, so yeah, most of my games are published by SCE.

Just boxed games that I have here, not counting loaners or trades or downloads

Nintendo: 31
EA: 13
Microsoft Game Studios: 8
Square Enix: 7

I have 9 SCE Blu-rays and with WipEout 10 SCE games overall. I sold SOCOM a couple weeks ago though.

SCE leads by a fair margin too.
