Which franchise or IP have you put the most hours into?

I know I'm over 1300 hours in TF2. Across all the call of duties I probably have 1000 as well.

However, last time I checked the priest I had in vanilla in WoW and played until Mists with was over 460 DAYS(11,040 hours), and she was my second character after stopping my original main, a hunter who had 128 days(3,072 hours) on her as well. Been playing a monk in Mists, so no idea what she's up to, but ya, can't imagine anything else I've played coming anywhere close to this. Counting all the other characters on top of her though, I can't imagine I'm below 15k hours...

Though in terms of persona I'm probably near 500 hours(always do max slink runs, which almost always take 100 hours per run), and this is with never playing 1 or 2.

Dear GOD, i just checked my steam account for DOTA 2 and have: 1117 hours. Holy SHIT. Good thing my interest seems to be dying down... Okay, so i had it for 14 months. A good 300 hours are my brothers, which leaves me with having played Dota 2 an average of 1.9 hours a day. Damn son, damn. And i just only made it to very high tier 2 months ago. WOW

It has to be Halo, I've play so many hours of Halo 1-2-3 multiplayer it's not even funny. I'm pretty glad those games didn't display playtime lol. I also poured way too many hours into WoW, Runescape (lol... :( ) and Call of Duty.

Usually the games with no sequels. I personally hate the games that I spend a lot of time with, and flat out hating them. I hated every single second I spent with SFIV and all its sequels.

Of the games I can't measure the time played, I'd say I put the most hours into Super Smash Bros. and PlayStation All-Stars.

Ones I can gauge: 47 hours into L4D, 200 hours into TF2 across PC and Xbox 360 versions, and I've put somewhere around 150 hours into the Monster Hunter series.

World of Warcraft, DOTA2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2 - probably my biggest, in that order!

The CoD franchise overall is probably pretty high in there too.

Battlefield series, although the latest failed to hook me with it's gimmicky weapons etc.

Then there is Wow, of course.

Quake. Holy shit how much time I put into that game.

Otherwise I tend to play lots of games instead of going full time into a single one. Total time spent, however, is quite a lot. I don't watch TV that often.

Between Halo 1-3...Oh, it's gotta be about a 1000 hours altogether, for real. Never would have imagined a day when I wouldn't give a fuck about that franchise anymore

RIP Halo :(

The Tales franchise.

Thousands of hours. I've put over 1,000 hours into Tales of Symphonia alone.

In fact, if Tales games existed on Steam, I would end up significantly skewing the charts.

Tactical Ops on PC (Counter Strike clone) back in the day.

Starcraft Brood War (I can't play this game anymore, there are too many cheater online. Also, it inspired me enough)

Without question, it's Alpha Centauri. I have installed that game on every single computer I've ever owned since 1999 and played through it 40 bajillion times. I wouldn't be able to accurately estimate the number of hours I've pumped into that game.

Easily my GOAT.

Final Fantasy VIII: 300+
Final Fantasy IV: 100+
Final Fantasy VII: 60+
Final Fantasy X: 80+
Final Fantasy Tactics: 250+
Dissidia Duodecim: 100+

The reason VIII, IV and Tactics are so high is because of replays. I haven't checked my Dissidia time so it might less or more.

Halo and CoD.

Halo 1 - Couple hundred LAN games
Halo 2 - 20000+ games (unsure really, 15000 games on my main account and I had tons of secondary accounts)
Halo 3 - 1700 games
Halo Reach - 450 games
Halo 4 - 0

CoD1-3: I only ever played the campaigns, so however long those took.
CoD4 - 36 days (864+ hours)
CoD:WaW - 8 days (192+)
CoD:MW2 - Don't remember, but it was less than WaW
CoD:Blops - 2 days
CoD:MW3 - 0
CoD:Blops2 - 0

Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow is up there. Star Wars: Republic Commando, Oblivion, Skyrim, Borderlands, NFS: Underground 2, and maybe a few other games have 100+ hours. But, nothing else even comes close to the amount of time I put into Halo 2 and CoD4. Oddly enough I don't actually play either franchise anymore.

Probably Fallout, L4D and Souls games.
My most played game is Left 4 Dead 2 (130 hours) Fallout 3 is the second one probably (120) and New Vegas the third (100).
And I've spent at least 60 hours each on GTA4 and Burnout Paradise single player.
Dark Souls was at least 50 hours (even if it didn't seem so!).

If WoW counts along with the rest of the Warcraft series, than Warcraft wins easily.

Otherwise:

WoW
SOCOM
Halo

Not sure which

Between the three diablo games, who knows how many real months I have lost to playing those games. I played diablo 2 every day for almost 3 years.....

Counterstrike by a fair margin I think. I don't know actual numbers. Been playing on and off since 1.3 and have tacked on another 100 hours of CS GO.

Asheron's Call, Dark Age of Camelot, and WoW are likely all fairly up there for me as well.

About 1000 hours of L4D1/2.

Guild Wars 2 likely to join the group by years end.

Monster hunter probably about a 1,000 hours form MH1 - MHF2 - MHFU - MHtri

and 3 ultimate is on the way, consoles have been orderd because of it :(

Definitely street fighter.

Ah, there's another one. I've been in love with that series since I was a kid. Me and my brother would play SF2 for hours back in the day, then SF3 online on Anniversary Collection, and now SF4 for hundreds of hours over the years. Another 1000+ hours on that franchise

Some of my notable hour totals:

Fallout 3: 96 hrs
Fallout NV: 78 hrs

Skyrim: 146 hrs

COD4: 168 hrs
COD:MW2: 264 hrs

Battlefield 2 (+all expansions): 300+ hours
BF:BC2: 200+ hours
BF3: 200+ hours

Just Cause 2: 80 hrs

GTA3, GTA:VC, GTA:SA, GTAIV: Too many to count

In summary, the GTA series by far is where I've spent the most hours over time, and free-roam games in general. Multiplayer shooters that I especially like will get extra time versus others.

SOCOM II, over 1000 hours.
