Which games do you wish had DLC?

I was really hoping to see Sonic Generations gets some DLC (no SEGA, Sky Sanctuary does not count as a Sonic 3 stage! Where's my goddamn Hydrocity Zone!?) but alas.

Also, Smash Bros. had better get some this time around. I'm glad that they try to pack in as much content as they can, but 6-7 years is just too long to wait for new stuff!

I wouldn't mind some DLC for Borderlands 2 that makes spawns much more random and varied. Doesn't need to be new maps or anything else, just improving the original areas.

Demons Souls and singleplayer MGS4 dlc (mgs4 had awesome gameplay mechanics, but you didn't get enough oppotinuity to use them)

Shadowrun (2007) I want more maps to play on, and some more UI functionality for more fleshed out matchmaking and party system/private matches options.

Six worlds just isn't enough for this modern day classic. I NEED MOAR!!!

How about an "Animal World" DLC which would bring back some of the animal buddies?

Basically, I miss Enguarde.

Lots of Nintendo stuff. Mario Kart 7 and 8, Smash Bros., even Zelda. I would love to see a Zelda game get post-game DLC content like challenge dungeons with crazy-ass designs that would never be included in the game proper. Or remakes of classic dungeons with reimagined visuals and cool new twists.

Love the Zelda idea.

I concur with all the Mario Kart 8 posts. It's just too obvious.

Personally, I'd like to see more tracks from the SNES game in MK8 :-)

RE4 Mercenaries can be an "All-Star" thing with DLC characters: Claire, RE3 Jill, Barry (... Barry!). Additional DLC stages. An RPD stage would be kinda cool....

Nintendo Land definitely. It's a shame there's still only 3 Mario chase levels. I'd even buy more!

Sonic Generations - So many levels they could have sold as DLC. A real shame.

Mario 3D World - I'd buy it all.

Splinter Cell Blacklist.

I don't have my previous gen consoles any more, but while I did I would've snagged any and all non-competitive DLC packs. That game was so set up for it too, with the world hub and side mission stuff in the game proper. It was begging for it, and it would have been awesome.

SM3DW and MK8? Check.

Dragon's Crown. This amazing gem of a game could use some more story dungeons and maybe a new playable class. Vanillaware has been great with support and the Muramasa Rebirth DLC makes me wonder where the love for DC is.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Great story, great gameplay. I want another story chapter. More Agrias and Orlandu!

Persona 4 Golden. I'm not even sure, I just want more!

Resogun. It's coming, but it can't come soon enough. Same with KI Season 2.

Catherine. It would be cool to maybe see a guy that was before the main storyline or play as one of the bar patrons going through the same thing.

Kingdom Hearts or Kingdom Hearts 2. They could include a new world with new items/keyblades to get. To further boost sales they could have released a world when a new movie was coming out

Sonic Generations HD, Jesus it's crime it never happened...

I'm almost entirely convinced they had an extremely rigid deal involving the music licensing. I guess they're still beholden to Dreams Come True and others.

And yes, here's some ideas for DLC:

1. Music Packs
Because as long as they had the rights cleared, this would be a ridiculously easy way for them to make tons of money. They need to patch Trial Mode so that you can play custom music during it, though. What an odd oversight on their part.

2. Character Skins
Quick and relatively easy. Sonic Generations already has this functionality pretty much built in. Yes, I know, "shitty friends", but they would all just function as Sonic does with some different graphical flourishes. Basically, sell an official version of this. Maybe restrict them to Trial Mode to get around the "talking with Sonic's voice" cutscenes.

3. More Zones
These were apparently expensive to make, but still, Icecap would be worth it. Especially since they could hit two zones with that, Classic being Sonic 3, Modern being Sonic Adventure. A lot of the ice graphical effects and mechanics are already in the engine, thanks to it being shared from Unleashed. I just hope Hard Times doesn't make getting the music too much of a pain.

Another idea would be to create an amalgam zone, mixing up elements from different stages into a single zone, implying time was starting to collapse, positioned right before the final boss. The final boss includes chunks of different zones flying by (you probably hardly noticed these because the boss fight is a giant mess), so this would be extending that theme. And it could be called...

...Okay, "ClockWork Zone". An unused name for an original Sonic 1 level, relating to clocks, in a game about traveling through the series history, I think it works pretty well.

4. More Missions
More along the lines of the "Action Master" mission, which was a good balance of testing platforming ability without being too painful.

5. Port in Unleashed Daytime levels
Because it's already been done. We've seen fans do it 90% of the way, and Sega would have access to the source code and source files, so they'd have a far easier time, and be able to accurately modify the engine and include new elements as they needed. Include the DLC levels too, if possible.

All of this content would also make it easier to resell the game on PS4, Xbox One, and possibly Wii U. DLC on PC would be expected, on PS3 and 360 would be nice.

I'd love an expansion to South Park the Stick of Truth. Also would've liked some dlc levels(or a way to create your own challenges) in Scribblenauts Unlimited, planning on picking up that DC version of the game during the steam sale if its cheap enough.

Pokemon X & Y, I would have paid good money for some post game quests or add ons.

Same with Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds, I don't how they could have done it, but I would have loved to have another adventure in a different side variant world or something.

Most Nintendo games without DLC always leave me wanting more game to be honest.

It sounds crazy at first but hear me out: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. The game ultimately becomes more about the meta-narrative and not the individual cases, but wouldn't it be cool to get a non-canon murder with all fifteen characters involved for Makoto to solve? I would easily pay $10 for that.

I'd love it if you were the culprit and had to get away with a murder.

Gotta be Sonic Generations. So much lost opportunity, there.
And speaking of Sonic and lost opportunities, any of the Christian Whitehead remasters (Sonic/Sonic 2/Sonic CD). All of which, if I recall correctly, were made with the intention of easily implementing additional content.

Kid Icarus Uprising and The Wonderful 101 would lend themselves very well to DLC due to their episodic structure. Simply having more material to showcase their deep gameplay and endearing casts would be worth it in itself.

Witcher series. Or to be more precise...I wish it would have expansion packs.Seems like such a waste not to do them.

Wonderful 101.

Because we will probably never get a sequel and the game is too damn good that more content would allways be wellcome

Sonic Generations is a great answer. Of all Sonic games, it makes the most sense.

Another one I'd add is Mass Effect 1. While it did get two DLCs, it was supposed to have more. There was going to be at least one more taking place on Caleston, but it was cancelled. We don't know the exact reason why it was cancelled, but I'd guess it had something to do with EA. They wouldn't be getting as big of a cut from ME1 content as they would from the sequels.

Too Human. Put a crazy amount of hours into it, knowing I would never play TH2 or see any other content etc.

As many people have already said, Super Mario 3D World.

And also, Smash Bros. It's not out yet, and I know amiibo is coming, but I'd love to see DLC for the game which adds more obscure characters/characters a lot of people requested but wouldn't have been viable to put in the base game.

Seeing all these Sonic Generations posts makes me glad to know I'm not the only one who wanted it. Just think; we could have had levels like Chaos Angel, Ice Cap, or even a full run through Stardust Speedway!

Also, although I'm really annoyed at how Nintendo's going about Mario Kart 8 DLC (Still 99% sure the roster's terrible to make us want to buy basic characters like Diddy, classics like Dry Bones, and interesting newcomers rather than another baby), Mario Kart is a game that inherently can benefit from DLC, as can Smash Bros.

I haven't played MK8, but Mario Kart 7 would be so fresh if they added new tracks and drivers.
I also would love some DLC for X and Y also, game seemed a little barren compared to the earlier ones.
Kingdom Hearts would work out pretty nicely with some DLC, have some new worlds, add more crazy story lines that are side stories, and new outfits (I'm an outfit whore).
Finally, Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I want more things to do, on top of the million other things I still need to do haha.
I personally love DLC, and as long as its handled correctly, it can be great.

Quite a few older games, actually, despite valuing that "this is it" quality they had. I kind of suspect the scope and visual fidelity of modern games makes it too costly to make good DLC at a good price (and it doesn't help Microsoft's price fixing plus increased prevalence of multiplatform games set the tone for at least the generation) but I could see a lot of substantial content being able to be added relatively easily to a lot of 8-bit through 32-bit games (and even some PS2 era titles) if we had the internet and storage options we have now.
