That show lol. I loved how Virtua Fighter was secretly a device to root out mutants.

Millennials, but I dissociate with anything due to taste in culture, technology, music, and everything else. I've always had a distaste for people who consider a generation better even if technology is more advanced or the only taste they have is formed from being biased.

I've never truly been into discussing politics or how your average American citizen at my age should act or believe. The news media makes us all seem like we're a survey and a poll. I haven't communicated with a lot of people my age. If anything it's been this bell curve that goes haywire. Your only real choice is survival. You aren't comparing your apples to someone else your age every night. I don't think the world will ever work like that. What we do is replace someone's job if they pass away.

I do understand wars and how there can be shortages of people and parentless children. That's true, but I don't dwell on it. I don't think we have had a war since WW2 or even Vietnam to consider shortages. The world just keeps populating and our fashion senses are always changing. I miss styles of the 70's and the 80's and sometimes they come back in style. I like old and new music. We're also spoiled by technology. There's just a convenience to have anymore really. Nothing historical except tragedies and new rules.

1995 reporting in, so I guess that's a tail end Millennial?

I feel like the cutoff for Generation Z changes every time the topic comes up here on GAF. Sometimes it's '90, '95, '00 even. I don't know what to believe anymore ._.

Baby Boomers (Tom Brokaw) called their parents the Greatest Generation. They didn't call themselves anything.

One person coins it, everyone else accepts it. Not really the point to try to figure out who uses the term, who doesn't, and then argue about it. (Do you have some kind of magical insight into this?) The "greatest" generation is a sham of a label regardless if everyone from that time embraces it or not.

Baby boomers are the reason insanely rich white men still control everything while everyone else's lives suck. And they prolonged global warming.

So they're objectively the worst generation

I'm Gen Y. We're all milennials and gen x-ers, OP. I mean there might be some outliers, but for the most part people who post here are either young or slightly less young

EDIT: Jeezus, so many 1995ers. Always weird that people my little sister's age are all adult and doing shit now

Born in 1976 and pessimistic as fuck so....

Gen X I guess....

Millennial.

Sorry for ruining everything.

Naw bro millennials haven't been around long enough to really ruin anything (however ya'll REALLY do need to get out and vote more as mentioned earlier).

No, you wanna talk about who actually DID fuck some shit up?

THAT would be the baby boomers.

I feel like I am smackdab in between Gen X and Millennial. Born in 84. I identify with all the Millennial stuff, but can also identify with quite a bit of the Gen X stuff.

I remember and fondly long for the days before the internet, and am glad I was able to grow up partially without it, but at the same time, i cant imagine life without it from middle school and onward. I experienced everything from VHS, Mini Disc, Cassetes, Laserdisc, to what we have now. I fondly remember old tech, but am utterly absorbed into my smartphone and cant live without mobile tech in general.

I grew up watching the classic shows and movies of the early 90s, but still do not feel all that out of touch when talking about newer stuff with the young'uns.

born in 83. Always wanted to be in gen x as they were the cool teens/early 20 somethings when I was a kid, but i'm really too young to identify with the things that define their generation. guess i'm a dirty fuckin millenial.

Gen y baby. Sick of you 80s kids hogging all the nostalgia. In a few years it will be all about bill clinton and pokemon and tupac and furbies

Boomer here. And always thinking we get a bad rap.
widely associated with privilege, as many grew up in a time of affluence.
This is bull. Our parents were recovering from a world war, many starting over from scratch. In particular immigrant families. Most of the boomers I knew, including myself, grew up poor. I had a crappy childhood and certainly not what I would call affluent.

What we did get as adults was opportunity and many Boomers were successful because of that. Self-made, not because they got anything from their parents.

1973, so Gen X, but I like to think of it as 8-bit VeeJay generation that consisted of the over-consumption of music television from VH1/MTV/Friday Night Videos and 8-bit computers and consoles.

That would be another gripe of mine. Boomers were the hippies. Pot smoking, free love, protesting liberals. How Boomers are now considered conservative racists does not compute.

The whole hippie thing didn't apply to the overwhelming majority of baby boomers in the first place. It's not like an entire generation was at Woodstock.

That myth ended with the Reagan years.

Gen X. Cleaning up the mess of the Boomers while baby sitting the Millennials.

I was born in 81. So I'm not sure which one exactly.

Generation X: historians and commentators use birth dates ranging from the early 1960s to the early 1980s.

Millennials:Commentators use birth dates ranging from the early 1980s to the early 2000s.

This is me as well, but I claim Generation X.
