Which is better, Adventure Time or Regular Show?

Adventure Time can be more interesting in that it has world building and lots of lore that leaves you wondering and wanting to know more.

Regular Show can be a lot more funny though due to the characters and nature of the show.

They're both good.

Regular Show is very clearly a show for people in their late teen to mid-twenties. A lot of the humour involving work would be lost on kids. I'd say Adventure Time, despite having adult humour, is far more of a kids show. I'm not saying Aventure Time is worse of anything but I'm saying that Regulay Show resonates with me a lot more.

At the beginning? Adventure time.
Now? Regular Show.

Adventure time needs to either abandon serialization or brace it, because right now it's making weird art pieces for most of a season and then rushing its story developments.

Finn lost and regrew an arm for no reason, he had a relationship with flame princess begin and end for no reason, ice queen's wife came back and then disappeared for no reason, bubblegum became a kid for a few episodes for no reason. They keep changing the status quo, but they change it back before any good stories are told. What's the point?

Meanwhile, even regular show has embraced serialization, even if slightly. And it's way better for it.

Steven Universe is the MVP though. Great animation, wonderful music, kid friendly writing that doesn't talk down to the audience, and its anime influence really helps it stand out. Gravity Falls is wonderful as well, and it really seems like this season the main plot will have a lot of payoffs.

This is how I feel. It seems they need to fully commit to their story and actually have some real consequences with what they write, instead of having an instant solution two episodes after a conflict.

I was really disappointed they dumped Finn being depressed and messed up after losing his arm, and the fact they gave him a new arm so fast (With Finn being the main character, if you dismiss all those fillers with sub-characters).

They're both pretty damn awful. Steven Universe so far is the best thing they have on that block with Clarence
(despite how much I hate Clarence himself)
close behind, and TTGO at the bottom of the barrel.

I've seen two episodes of Over the Garden Wall though, easily the best thing they've made in years but then again it's a 5 episode miniseries.

I was coming here just to say this. That show is constantly impressing me.
