Which japanese developer is your favourite?

Yeah, you better watch out or I'll destroy you!
I thought your first post saying L5 and 'the ppl who made DQ8' made perfect sense and didn't need more clarification.
Yeah, Level 5 would never make such an uninspired, boring and formulaic game on their own. Though I haven't played RG yet, so maybe I'm wrong.

My choice is Atlus. And N1. And Gust. And Falcom. Perhps soon Vanillaware.
And the parts of Capcom that only ever seem to exist for a moment, like those that made BoF: DQ.

If you take "developer" to mean a single person, then it's clearly ZUN.

definately square and enix up until the early Playstation years. then square at least got flush with money and started making crappy games. almost every game they came out with after final fantasy tactics I didn't like.

Whatever game your avatar is from sucks too.

Capcom easily although their next gen efforts so far have not been up to the caliber of their last few PS2 games.

Namco (Tekken, Soul Edge/Calibur, Ace Combat)
Capcom (Biohazard, Dino Crisis, DMC, Onimusha, God Hand)
AM2 (Virtua Fighter, Outrun)
Konami + Kojima Pro ( Metal Gear Solid, Winning Eleven, ZOE)
Team Ninja (DOA)

Nintendo (and most of their second-party developers), followed by Square-Enix and Konami

I haven't really been a fan of Capcom for a while now, and I don't know why. I just don't enjoy their games for some reason.

Square would be my least-favorite if they didn't keep making awesome main numbered FFs.

Kojima Productions is my favorite, though Atlus R&D1 is 2nd, if you count Clover projects currently as SEEDS, then SEEDS is 3rd.

Capcom (collectively, but emphasis on Production Studio 4) and Nintendo (again, collectively, emphasis on EAD and HAL)
