Just look at this badass.

Look at him!!
Yeah this.

How did he get thighs during all that time?

Rauru made them for him (and he used the Master Sword to pierce Link's ear).

As for me, my vote goes to NES Link. I love the artwork and (I know this is minor), the yellow band on Link's hat.

Really wouldn't mind seeing that return.

Wind Waker definitely. Mostly because his design was functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. His eyes moved to indicate when danger/treasure was nearby and the design expressed emotion so well. Classic Miyamoto school of design.

Hero of the Kinstones
I can understand ST, but TMC Link needs a better name. :/

Serious answer:
I've gotta say Hero of Time after MM. At least he retains the memories of all of his adventures between OoT and MM. That's a battle-hardened young man. He will most likely know what he's doing.

The Hero of Time has the most interesting story to me being a boy trapped in a man's body in Ocarina of Time, then a man trapped in a boy's body in Majora's Mask.
Yes, this states what I want to say pretty well. It's almost rather tragic. Sure, he can be a hero, but did people know what he did in order to save the present and future? He skipped his childhood, but then was allowed to relive it (yet, by then... he was a battle-hardened young warrior--how could he want to do so?). Rather than experiencing his childhood like any normal kid would, he goes out on another adventure to find Navi.

I pity Hero of Time Link the most, having to cope with all that. He'll probably be quite good at strategy and battle tactics, though.

And Malon > all the girls in the Zelda series. Yeah, I said it.

And then he became a Stalfos.

Sure, you can say it. No matter how wrong it is. :P

And WW Link takes this, no contest. Especially second playthrough boss looking Link with no hat and the blue shirt.

:(

Of course, it could be SS Link (or even TMC Link--who also goes through the process of learning several skills) as well...

They manage to make TP Link not look so dorky. He actually looks attractive here, though that could be a consequence of the lighting.

The thing I liked most about TP Link was how... exotic he looked. But now that I am used to him, he doesn't seem as special. :(

Left-handed Link is the best Link. Ambidextrous Link is alright. Right-handed Link is bullshit.
After much consideration, I'm inclined to agree, though not to the extent of calling it bs. Like I said before: at the very least, include a left-handed model for left-handers to use. Surely Miyamoto would consider this (he probably won't, given his current ambidextrous nature). I've outlined why I think Link's current Wii U/SS handedness disappoints me already.

His model in-game did not look very nice, particularly his facial expressions (or sometimes lack thereof). But the official art was nice to look at. He looks defiant in a lot of the artwork in general. His eyes, in particular, look striking.

Though Zelda debate is kinda moot since Marin > *

I absolutely loved Marin. Malon didn't come close to the genuine article. She's the most believable love interest Link had (other than maybe Midna, for those who thought she loved Link...which I do). I felt like he had a say in it (when you get Marin as an "item", it implies highly the feelings were mutual), instead of "lol destiny" prodding it along. You actually got to talk to her, date her, hear that she cares about him. Instead of most Zelda incarnations where it's like she got together with him simply because he rescued her. That's not true of course, but I didn't get any connection to the older Zeldas (especially LttP) whereas with Marin it was instant. Luckily the newer Zeldas (Tetra and SS Zelda) are huge steps in the right direction as far as building a relationship goes.

As for the actual topic, gonna put another +1 for WW Link. Not only was his design really good and a nod to his original hairstyle, he had personality. His animations gave life to the character. He was a badass even though he was young, none of that BS we got in OoT where he couldn't wield a full sized sword and had to grow up to take on Ganondorf (who was also far superior in WW). He had some backstory, and an actual family. Aryll in particular added a lot to WW Link's development and the whole thing just made you feel like he had some stake in saving the world, which was nice. And finally, the kid fought better than his older predecessors. While OoT Link is doing slow clunky stabs and slashes, WW Link was running up people's bodies, flipping through the air and stabbing them in the frickin' face. So yeah, WW Link by a mile.

Which is your favourite?

Really?

They are all the exact same character with no personality, nothing to say, wearing the exact same garb

Uhm, nuh uh. Some of them have pants. Some of them have no pants. Some of them have tights!

TWW Link is the only one that really shows any personality. I think most are fighting over how they look as well.

Anyway I pick TWW Link, I remember being slightly amused when Tetra launches him off in a canon to get into the Fortress. Also just his expressiveness in general.

I like Ashei, she has interesting eyes. And an interesting name.

She looks better in fanart. Definitely don't like her in-game design at all.

I think she looks homely. Hate hate HATE the bangs, the squared eyes, the big nose.
I think that your opinion is wrong and that you're a jerk. :(

I cant believe people hate Skyward Sword Zelda's bangs. They're awesome.
They really are fantastic.

That's easy, it's totally the dude from B/W

yes the dude not girl ya pervs
White is the best, you're wrong.

If we're counting all major trainers, Jasmine > all, though.

I like Wind Waker Link the best because he has the most personality out of all the Links and I like TP Link out of all the adult Links 'cause he's got the most detailed clothes and looks the most badass out of all the regular Links.

This guy still needs his own game though. He's like Samurai Link or something.

Ocarina of Time Adult Link

Twilight Princess/Smash Bros. Brawl Zelda

Also, the Skyward Sword version of Link and Zelda(?) are abominations. My least favorite versions of each character by far. (Not counting the Philips CD-i hell spawn of course.)

Agreeing with most of the topic saying that Wind Waker Link was the most likeable of the bunch, since he had an actual personality told entirely through facial expressions. He just generally felt the most fun of all of the Links.

OoT/MM Link is probably the coolest of the Links, though, with his awesome kid-adult transformation, and later the fierce deity version.

TP Link tried too hard to be cool like OoT Link and fell flat, and the verdict's still out on SS Link until the game actually releases.

The older Links don't have any particular problems, but it's hard to convey much personality through 8 and 16-bit sprites, and most of the art I've seem of them makes them look too elf-like for my tastes.
