• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

Which phone are you getting this fall/holiday season?

Just upgraded to a OnePlus 5. With a great camera, a SnapDragon 835 and 8 gigs of RAM, this will keep me going for a long time.

Fuck paying for a full priced flagship anymore

I got an iPhone 7 Plus last year, which was a replacement for an iPhone 5, which was itself a replacement for an iPhone 3G. Based on that timeframe, it looks like I will get an iteration of the iPhone X that releases in 2019 or 2020

So, iPhone X-3S. That sounds like a Square Enix game.

I keep my phone 5-10 years. Got my S5 mini about a year ago (so already cheap). Plan to keep it for a long time.

There iPhone 6s. I can't afford the latest ones. I'm tired of Android. Ready to move to iOS.

Edit:
U guys Change Phone every year?
My current phoned is an LG G2. It worked great until recently. Now the screen is going bad and I keep getting random crashes now. That's either the ram going bad or the storage volume. Either way, my G2 is dying. Been using it for almost 2 years now.

I'm not.

Why upgrade every year or even two years if my phone accomplishes everything I need it todo and then some?

I was in that vicious cycle for a while and it is just craziness.

U guys Change Phone every year?

The upgrade plan that Apple does gives you a new one every year so yes.

My phone is my most used computer. I want as fast a CPU as possible and if they're willing to give it to me for a modest monthly fee then I sure as hell will take them up on their offer.

I'll be keeping my current phone.

Yep. Still going with my iPhone 5s for now. Wondering if I can stretch it another year. It's showing signs though. Like it's the oldest phone compatible with iOS 11 so 12 is gonna be right out and even 11 may run like crap. And sometimes the battery goes from 20% straight to dead....

I am not in a hurry to retire my Note 4.

If my Note 4 stop working, I may get this Maze Alpha.

Yeah bezel less phones are a dime a dozen nowadays.

Pixel 2 if I can somehow get my hands on one (the original Pixel was never officially released here in Sweden, even though the Nexuses before it were).

I'll keep my S7 edge. I pray that these companies fuck off with these sales. I don't want to be tempted this holiday!

Man, I was excited about the iPhone x but the whole conference was a let down to me. Nothing really interesting and now I am considering the note 8. I had a galaxy 3 and it was ok but mods and shit kept me from enjoying it as a phone so I don't know what to do now. I hate not having a headphone jack since I listen daily to headphones. I got Bluetooth headphones but even those are a pain in the ass. Wife has an iPhone and daughter has a cell connected iPad so I would be the odd man out. Not sure how android integrates into a family of Apple shit currently.

iPhone 8. My iPhone 6's lightning port kept crapping out, so I've been using a $30 Alcatel IdealXCite until the 8 comes out.

Can someone possibly help me? Posted in another thread, but...

I really want a Pixel XL2, but I'm at the point where I have to switch to iOS to maintain my sanity. :(

I'm dropping so many texts messages—something like 3-5 a day (at least). I troubleshooted every fix I could find and nothing has worked. Was on Fi; switched to Verizon earlier in the month. Still not fixed. Not limited to iMessages, either. I think it's Android—don't know why it would be phone-specific (using an N5X)

Question for S8 owners. I have the S7edge, and my biggest gripe with it is the jerky / laggy feel of the UI. It's fine, but it's definitely annoying at times.

My second biggest gripe is the battery life. It's okay, but not great.

Is the S8 much better in both of those areas? If so, I'd consider upgrading.

I am debating. I have 6S Plus but I am kind of underwhelmed by the X/iPhone 8 Plus for some reason. Note 8, LG V30, Pixel 2 all look interesting.

I will probably get iPhone 8 Plus at the end but going to wait and check out the android phones in person first.
