Which Pokemon NFC figures did you get?

Not nearly as bad as the Disney Infinity ones. The prototypes for that looks awesome in the promo shots but when you actually look close, they appear to be painted by partially blind chinese children with some sort of palsy. Hella ghetto paint jobs.

Thanks. I was really confused lol. My brother kept saying "maybe you have to unlock the ability to use them later" lol.

The pre-order bonuses are inside the box, if none were taken out beforehand. If you find a capsule without a SKU on it, it's either Black or White Kyurem. (Also, if you take a peek inside the holes, if the plastic is clear; that also means it's Black or White Kyurem.)

EDIT: Off-topic, but does anyone know how to release Pokémon? I noticed you should favorite Pokémon in the Character Selection, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get rid of my dupes.

Apparently if you want them all this seems like cheapest way to do it. I bought a whole box and didn't get a single duplicate. I think I have read other people say they got a few duplicates. Still, if most boxes contain no or few duplicates your odds are a lot better if you buy an entire box than buying a few here and there. The guy at my Gamestop said that they only got that single box so I felt kind of bad, but I want all of them for as little money as possible and it worked out.

Now I am debating on whether or not to hunt down the 3 shiny figures. There are a couple on Ebay but the prices are laughable. So if anyone here wants to sell a shiny figure PM me.

By sku you mean barcode? Just checked and each one of them had a barcode.

Heard from multiple sources that if you secure a box, you are most likely set for the whole set, maybe one dupe. I hope.

Yeah, barcode = SKU. Guy at a GameStop I went to found 10 of those without barcodes and they're all the pre-order bonuses. Also mentioned he put them out last week and was wondering why no one bought a single one.

Those are the standard ones, plus there are the white and black Kyurem figures from the Special Edition and then three shinies (Pikachu, Eevee and Genesect)

Japan has a couple more too, that I doubt we'll ever see.

I was lucky and got a Shiny Pikachu, however the figure was broken from it base which I had to fix with super glue.

I going to go back to GAME tomorrow and get some more.
 
called my local gamestop, said a guy came in and bought all of them (like 32+ figures) so yeah, i'm sol unless i wanna travel my butt off today. Oh well. They'll be back in stock i'm sure.

I was JUST in that same gamestop about 90 mins ago to pre-order Wind Waker HD (limited edition) and I could have bought it then... i asked and they said the guy came in after me

i had no idea this was coming out... :|
 
These actually look pretty cool.

Didn't know too much about these but I may stop by GS on the way home to see if I can get 1 or 2 of them.

they had no marketing for this with XY just weeks away I guess I understand and the Disney stuff with NFC this is just a little test by Nintendo but I still think this stuff will be hot and most of those scooping them up later will be for re-sale on Ebay and Amazon

I got Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Shiny Eevee, Torchic, Zoroark, and Lucario.

I checked 4 different Gamestops and none of them had the promotional Black/White Kyurems. One of the girls working there felt bad so she gave me two of X/Y posters which was nice.

Anyone else having trouble getting the promo figs?

No one's showing restraint, huh? Makes it hard for everyone else who wants just one or two.

Unfortunately for people who want all of them it might mean the difference between paying $75 for a box or $150 by buying a few at a time or off of Ebay. I'm a 30 year-old man so I don't exactly have anyone to trade these with. Though if these take off it might be nice to get a trading thread going.
 
What's up with all of your local GS stores only having 1 box? Mine has like 7 of them, and they still can't figure out which one is the Pre-Order box. Waiting for my (hopefully) White Kyreum figure, as I already got my black as a freebie from another store.
 
So... the stories sound like it's mostly a few people buying up a ton at once, at best for some pokemon shrine and for worse jacking up their prices on ebay?

I got an ok from the manager after he called the dm or someone, besides they had two boxes. They'll probably order more if these are a hot ticket item anyways.
 
I really don't like the angular look of the figures. I know it's probably because the Pokemon in the game are 'toys' or something, but I'd totally get these if they resembled the real Pokemon.
 
I got a bunch of pokemon that I don't know. A Shaymin, Croagunk, Torchick and Deoxys? They look super lame. I just wanted a Pikachu or Mew! Are any of those 4 even popular pokemon or considered strong in the new game? They look like throwaway pokemon.

Oh I forgot, I also did get a Bulbasaur, so at least I got one pokemon I've heard of.
 
Wow, okay sooo I go to get this game from gamestop and some figures, and they tell me some dude came in a little after they opened and bought the game and EVERY figure they had. :/ They even sold him all the black/white kyurem figures. Like, seriously? Some people are such jerks.

I'm gonna go to a different gamestop in a few and see if they'll have any.
 
So, what's the benefit of using the figures? I'm not sure I understand it, are there other ways to obtain the figure-based Pokemon in-game or are they only available if you have the figure?

You don't need to buy the figures, but they do help you in-game.

Well...

Shaymin is the Celebi equivalent of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.
Torchic is the fire starter of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald
Deoxysy is the Mewtwo equivalent of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald

(Essentially)
