White Knight Chronicles Online Info (updated as more info becomes available)

Sounds fantastic. After the greatness of Inazuma, I was going headfirst into WKC before. This is just icing on the cake.

I guess. But at least they should allow me to invite friends on my PSN list to play online. the auto-matching thing doesn't sound fun for me unless I have control. hopefully IGN or whoever gets more details about online later.

Oh... were people expecting Co-op story mode? I mean... from what I read before it sounded like a separate component to the story mode all together, like side quests in regular JRPG, except you can do those Co-op now.

(I'm hoping) They just mean that that is one of your options, that you do not HAVE to ask people to run a party with you, or have your friends available - you can also randomly create parties.
 
That's much more plausible, I couldn't imagine how to integrate a traditional singleplayer JRPG story with multiplayer. This way, which still offers some connection between online and single-player via the "player character" sounds like a good compromise.

Has the 1080p claim been repeated anywhere? Because I'd be more than a bit surprised if that truly happens -- I don't expect any JRPG to render at that resolution this gen. (except for TLR PC of course)
 
I hope they have a 'suspend' option on the single player game. It might be expecting too much progressive thinking from a JRPG developer, but I think it'd be nice if they could avoid the scenario of person playing the single player, friend comes online and asks if they fancy some coop, person says sure, just give me 20 minutes while I find a save point.

Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully they thought it out and at least have many options to connect with others. Oh and the difficulty should vary based on size of party and level. and not just a set level for the monster that it would be easy to do the quest ;o

Oh and Level 5 Booth is next to SCE so it should be easy for IGN to go abouts to get information :lol

The talk of being able to do online quest solo suggests that there will be options to limit who joins or not.
