People get straight up killed a little kid sports events but popping off in the fgc is indicative of a major problem? Fuck outta here with some of these posts

This entire culture confuses me. I'm not an active participant by any means, but even in person my exposure to it has been something similar in terms of attitude. What I take away most from this video is the complete shift in attitude to calm him down. The complete lack of social awareness is just staggering and feels set up.

Whats so confusing about it? Guy makes an exciting come back, he celebrates along with the crowd, some on looker physically assaults him, and others jump in to defuse the situation.

I feel like a lot of nerds get a perverse delight out of being able to call other people nerds.

Oh man, I was in stitches, even watching it immediately back a second time.

Alright the guy was boistrous but it seemed the guy he was playing against was cool with it all.

Did you know some of the people even smoke marijuana cigarettes too?

Wow. Shut it all down.

As much as the FGC wants to portray a community getting together for the pure fun of playing fighting games, a lot of the hype as well as the negative 'drama' in the scene is due to the betting.

This is a better fighting tournament video.

Best FGC moment I saw all year. Live it was so much better because you didn't know if LTG was going to attack his ass.

Mike Ross was saying 'Somebody needs to get between these two. I know these gentlemen and this could turn into a bad situation."

I believe Snakeeyez is from a rough part of LA, so he knew something might get crazy, as he positions himself between them angled toward LTG. lol I wish we had shit like this in the EXVS community. (not really okay maybe really)

Gold. I talk a lot of shit when I play games with friends, it's always warranted.

I just love FGC drama! People are passionate and only fighting games can cause such saltiness.

Sometimes it goes a bit too far though :

These are killing me too.

Valle's face in the center fucking slays me.

Man I love fighting games, but I'll never get into the scene because of stuff like this right here.

Every scene has shitheads, though. In the past few months, a female CS:GO player was attacked after winning a qualifier, a SC2 player tweeted that he was going to rape someone, and the guy who runs the biggest Smash tournament was blown up for harassing a bunch of transexual women in that community. It's not like this shit is exclusive or normal for the FGC, it's just all you'll hear about because people like drama more than Street Fighter.

Steven Segal is greasy, flabby and only good with weapons.
Actually he's a seventh dan (Aikikai) in Aikido, which is not centered on weapons combat ... though it's included. His forte if anything would be his throw counters.

He's trained a variety of groups and individuals, including MMA fighters Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida. Obviously that wasn't for how to use a bokken :p

This is a standard pop off after what I believe was a reverse OCV People get hype, it happens. Fall back.

This was actually discussed in Fighting Game Weekly with one of the people running the event and a friend of the girl commenting. So if you wanted to hear from someone actually at the event, read up.

I love how Neogaf is painted as a collective mindset when there is clear disagreement in just about every topic.

It's just negatively stereotyping websites people don't visit to make them feel better about the websites they do. You can already see some silly comments about Tumblr and Reddit on here and by no means are they a hive-mind either.
