I'd use the buddy list if it did anything useful. Or maybe if I knew what it did at all.

I have twenty or so people on my ignore list though. GAF is a big enough forum that blocking out the most worthless posters isn't really going to make the place feel more empty.

I've never used the ignore list, but that's probably because I don't get involved in heated arguments, plus anyone who is super annoying will soon be banned anyway (then their ban becomes entertainment fodder and I wouldn't want to miss a thing!)

And never used the buddy list, 'cuz I know where my buddies at <3

Too much effort. If someone bothers you that much on a message board you might have bigger problems.

the ignore list is the internet equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "LAA LAA LAA LAA LAA", and i didn't even know there was a buddy list.

I have all the mods on ignore, so they're silly rules don't apply to me.

I always imagined the site has code in place to automatically ban anyone who adds an admin to their ignore list. Obviously not true but the thought is fun, lol

Never use either. They seem pointless to me.

Ignoring someone doesn't fix the problem, and I don't even know what to do with a buddy list.
