Who said something about feeling sorry for others? I'm saying you should be able to understand his sentiment without resorting to driveby posts like "no one is forcing you to do anything".
I can imagine a flood of second hand Ps4 hitting gamestop and ebay etc at very cheap prices as well as a Ps4 price cut it will actually grow OG Ps4 adoption.
But you see I feel like I'm forced to because I already payed for PSVR and now I figure out I'm getting the lesser quality version on my PS4. Plus God of war 4 my favorite franchise is going to be lacking on the PS4 it kind of feels like I am...
That statement basically says that by making an Xbox 360 title you can also play that on the Xbox One, as the Xbox One is BC. It doesn't say anything about making them native on both. We don't know how difficult it would be to bring them to both platforms, it just means Sony has an engine capable of delivering two version for PS4K exclusives.Like I said it all depends on how support for PS4k is done.To me it sounds like work needed to get PS4k support would be very minimal and the system would do a lot of the work and by default by targeting PS4 you're targeting both.
I edited before I read you message. You literally said "It's depressing to see how people are so reluctant to empathize.". And why exactly is it not legitimate to say "no one is forcing you to do anything"? It's true, they're not. If you want to have the best that badly, that's your own desire at work, not some outside force compelling to spend money on something you already have in working condition.Nice try with the edit, though
for sure. read the ms threads, and people will have you think we should wait until they fuck up before voicing our concerns. or the legacy wow-server thread and they'll make clear that as long as something is legal it's also morally justifiable and any misgivings you might have about that is "entitlement".Corporations sure have it easy if this the current state of consumerism.
I'll buy it, because I'm tech junkie and a fanboy, but I don't like console taking this route.
you're definitely not alone there dude.Hey at least someone is defending me![]()

Desires are largely shaped by marketing, peer pressure and so on. It's not legitimate because being forced by someone and feeling forced are two completely different things. It's like people in here can't even read.
this reminds me of the kind of people who say those suffering from depression should just think happy thoughts and get better, or that fat people should just get some will power. That doesn't mean it can't come off as irrational to some people to "feel" forced to do something that you literally do not have to do, and are not being compelled to do by anything other than your own desire.

Yeah, because buying a stronger version of a video game console you already own is totally comparable to depression and obesity... Seriously dude?
This. A 4K console? Gimme a break. There's no way this isn't a disaster waiting to happen.
Nope. What a silly thought.
I'll just focus on my PC for gaming and use the console for exclusives. You're not forced to buy anything.
because pressure and feeling forced isn't something you can just pretend away. and while not as severe conditions as the examples I mentioned it can spoil the fun of a hobby. but thanks for being deliberately obtuse anyway.
If you want to play your Ps4 games in the best way possible then yes, you're being forced to buy it.
No amount of sleep will change that reality.
OP didn't literally mean force, I thought that was obvious.Except no one is actually literally forcing you to buy one.
or a TVFor your sake, I hope you will never think about buying a car.
OP didn't literally mean force, I thought that was obvious.
Buy a high end PC?
Oh please. I'm getting tired of these kind of dismissive posts with terrible analogies to cars and phones.
Is it that hard to realize that there's precedence to take into account? Car and phone models have always been released on a yearly basis, consumers know what they're getting into. Consoles have historically always had long release cycles, with only small improvements to design and convenience in between. You can understand how someone expecting their console purchase to last them atleast a good 5-6 years may be a little bummed it could become outdated in 2-3.
The improvements that come to cars and phones every year are, again, also small improvements to design and convenience. You buy a console to do one thing, play games. Now if a new model that does the one and only thing it's made to do much better comes out, a lot sooner than the precedent set, of course there's going to be unhappy people.
And come on, you know what he means by saying "forced to", he's not being literal. Don't be deliberately obtuse. He's saying that for the things he bought a PS4 for, GOW4 and VR, Sony has made buying the 4K kind of the only logical option unless you want crippled versions of those.
I can at least see where he and others who aren't happy about a potential PS4K are coming from.
no, in reality I am considering giving up gaming altogether because of this news. and that's my choice. because i'm not fine with the console gaming market adapting to this iterative shit. if others are fine with it, good for you, no disrespect, but i ain't rolling with it. neither is OP, neither are others who voiced their displeasure.I was responding to your use of forced to buy it. You just feel like you need the new hypothetical console, when in reality you will be just fine with or without it.

I still see people bringing up the comparison to cars or phones or computers so i'm quoting this post for this page
maybe your monetary status is also stronger than mine.I admire your attitude, I'm not as strong as you. I can't resist first party games that look better or run better...
