Kevin is that guy. He's the jerkass kid who lives on every street. We all knew one, or a few. They don't know how much they're hated, and eventually end up living lives of varied success, usually firmly entrenched in comfortable mediocrity.

this one was much smarter than she looked. She was like the queen of trolling. She knew what she was doing, every time. That innocent look was a lie.

The thing that makes Kevin so hated is the fact that there is a Kevin in EVERY subdivision for 11-15 year olds. That jocky/wanna be X-games punk who always wheres a hat, riding his bike constantly around the area.

I've just always hated when a character gets blue-balled out of their goal(s), especially back in the day when I would watch cartoons.

Let the Eds have a jawbreaker; let Jack fucking kill Aku; let Johnny Bravo fuck a bitch.

I'm not saying that it's a bad storytelling device, on the contrary. Obviously it gets me pissed, so it's a very effective device. It just always made me mad personally.

I don't know though, I think most of the time the Eds' failure to get jawbreakers was their own fault, whether it was Eddy's greediness or Ed's clumsiness or Double D's over analysis(the episode where Ed gets two jawbreakers in the mail shows this). Very rarely was their failure caused directly by Kevin's inference, and he even extended the olive branch a few times(like the episode where it's revealed that his dad works at the jawbreaker factory, thus enabling Kevin to have a garage full of them; he was going to give one to the Eds before Eddy screwed it up).

I don't like Blanky from The Brave Little Toaster. I don't know why. Partially because, like the Toaster, I'm unsure of its gender. But also because every other member of the team had a cool personality or helped the team out somehow. Blanky sucked all around.

It was a blanket. What could it do? It wasn't boss like the vacuum cleaner or the toaster. He was the loveable weakling that needed love.

That's definitely true. Same thing goes for Johnny Bravo.

I just always disliked when the whole world was against the main character(s), but I know it's a good storytelling device. I always felt bad for the Eds and JB.

Uh, I always saw Jimmy as the gay kid. That's why the homely Sarah hung around with him and also why Nazz also felt unthreatened/comfortable around him.

Yeah, too bad he fucked both simultaneously.

The Ed, Edd, and Eddy movie actually introduced an even bigger jerk...Eddy's brother.

The movie was pretty awesome, since at the end everyone stuck up for the Eds and accepted them into their group. I'm not going to lie, I teared up. :(

I always felt sorry for Double D since he was nice and all the other kids repeatedly showed that they'd probably like him if he dumped the other Eds, but the fact he always stuck by them was pretty heartwarming.

Damn, even if that show got kind of stupid when they brought it back (with them going to school and it being fall), it was still my favorite Cartoon Cartoon ever.

Much as I agree with this, the worst character hands down was Sarah. At first it was funny, and occasionally she was justified, but there were times where her rage was nothing less than a lot of uncalled for violence. The episode where Ed yells at her is easily one of my favorite moments in the show.

OMG, I hated her so much.

Cow from Cow and Chicken.
I liked the show but fucking hated Cow. I kind of scared myself as a young child with how passionately I hated Cow and wanted bad things to happen to her.

raimundo-sup-xiaolin-showdown-784130_320_240.jpg

Screw Raimundo, and
screw the ending where he gets all of the glory
.

Haha, he was my favorite character, and my best friend liked Omi, so when the end came around I laughed in his face and he told me to never talk about that show again.

On the left is Fred Fredburger from Billy and Mandy, and on the right is Cheese from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Don't be fooled: despite looking like they're two different characters they are exactly the same thing. Not even exactly the same guy/character because Fred Fredburger and Cheese aren't characters. They're throwaway jokes that got out of hand. In their respective premieres I grudgingly admit both were pretty funny. Then they became recurring characters who were exponentially less funny every single time.

I found Fred Fredburger to be better myself, since Billy and Mandy wasn't as "plot-centric" as Foster's at first...and boy, did Foster's take a nose-dive fast...but the worst character in that show...

GOO!

When they made her a reoccurring character...jesus christ. Foster's is probably the most disappointing show CN made, since it started out as soooo good.

Kevin was the most normal kid on that show, you people are delusional. The Eds were legitimate fuck-ups always working an angle. Kev just wanted to ride his bike and hang out with Naz. The Eds were the instigator in every conflict between the two. Prove me wrong.

You should watch Spongebob in season 2. They actually tone down her perfectness by being involved more in gags. That "Pressure" episode is a good example of that.

Yeah, maybe I just haven't seen enough of the show. But like vas said, it's mostly her attitude. I can't pinpoint one specific thing, but she always seems to think she knows more about Bikini Bottom and ocean life than the actual sea creatures. And her "Texas is the greatest ever and don't you dare say anything about it or I'll fume and rage" schtick from the episode where she's homesick just makes it impossible for me to stand her.

I feel like I'm the only person who fucking despises Randy Marsh on South Park.

He's so ridiculous and over-the-top and stopped being funny about a decade ago.

Jade was the worst character in an otherwise excellent show.

Koji in Medabots. Such a douche.

Take your pick.

edit, forgot one.

Ed from cowboy bebop. Just so damn annoying, and barely serving a purpose.

Lois Griffin is ten thousand times worst then Peggy hill is on her worst days. What kinda of fucking mother encourages her daughter to commit suicide?

Fuck Lois Griffin!

But for the most part KOTH didn't pride itself in throwing it's characters down the drain. Family Guy does anything to the characters just get a joke, and it hurts the show dramatically. How are we expected to respect the characters if the writers don't?

Ed in Cowboy Bebop was there to bring the cuteness and innocence to blunt the edge of what would have been a lot of grimdark. You couldn't be mad at her no matter how annoying, because underneath all of it, she was just a good kid, who was also super smart which could come in handy.

Ed was Cowboy Bebop.

But yeah, Brainy Smurf could die in a Fire.

I think the last super funny Randy moments are in Night of the Living Homeless("sit.. dowwwwnn!").. but eh he can be hit or miss. That's not to say I don't like the character, though. Sometime he is indeed just too over the top.

Edit: He had a lot of good lines/scenes in Over Logging, too.

I'm gonna catch flak for this, but katara from avatar the last airbender fits this mold for me. I liked her in season 1 and 2. I even overlooked her obsenely ridiculous power growth compared to the other characters. But season 3 came, and along with other issues, the most notable is that her personality took a nosedive and she became the most unbearable character in the series....
