Mm, not really.
First person's got its advantages, but you feel less connected to the character. Kingdom Come Deliverance and Cyberpunk do a pretty good job of addressing that by constantly going into cinematic camera and showing you them, but it's still not the same. On the other hand first person's more natural to control and you feel more of a connection to what your character's doing. Like it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying to do awesome stuff in a third person Mirror's Edge, probably.
Even so, I think I still prefer third person.
