Who has been to Wrestlemania?

If they ever run a WrestleMania in Minneapolis or Chicago I'm going to go, I need to experience it once and I can't really travel halfway across the country for it.

I would say there's a fairly good chance of it going to the new Vikings Stadium getting a WM soon.

I went to WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta.

While the card overall wasn't the best, it was worth it for Undertaker vs. HHH alone. I'll never forget the crowd's reaction to HHH doing the Tombstone and Taker kicking out of it.

I was there too for my first Mania. It was fun and I was bummed to find out that would be Edge's last match. He was my favorite :(

Went last year. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Being apart of that Mania and NXT crowd was something else.

You got a Miz main event win :)

I went to WM XXI.
As a huge Kurt Angle fan, it was the one to go. Incredible how the fans actually cheered Angle over Michaels. Even before the slap and low blow.

One of the best matches ever.

Damn, I remember hearing something about them going on sale. Guess I just forgot. Know anything about Axxess? Guess I'll have to buy tickets from scalpers closer to the event.
Haven't heard anything but a single ticket to NXT is $90 so I'll probably pass on that

I really wanted to go to NXT TakeOver: London but I couldn't convince anyone to go with me because of the ticket prices.

Wow that's insane. Guess I'll pass on NXT unless they stock up on some talent in the next couple of months. Still would like to go to Mania even though I'll probably end up having to pay $500 for a ticket.

I went to Wrestlemania 28 with some friends, we travel from ecuador to usa.
It was one of the best week I had. We got tickets for axxess and raw.

I went to 27 and had a great time. Make sure you go to the meet and greet event (forgot the name) and take a pic with the belt, its surprising how heavy it is.

For some reason we ran into porn stars a couple times there. They know when someone recognizes them after a glance, its pretty funny.

I went to 23. I saw Trump beat McMahon in person. Pretty awesome.

You should have fun! It's one of those things you've gotta do at some point in your life

I was at Wrestlemania 31 and it was amazing. Spent less money to get a seat a bit further back where each row was elevated from the last and it gave us a much better view than being on the floor and having signs blocking our view. Watching that cash-in live with thousands of other fans gasping and cheering was unforgettable.

Check out the dedicated merch building rather than just the mobile ones outside and the ones scattered throughout the stadium, if you want to buy something. The Levi's Stadium shop was gutted of all things sports and replaced with unique merch that wasn't for sale anywhere else.

Also, check out NXT and Raw After Mania tickets if you can afford it... always a great time as well. If you can't, look up the smaller promotions and see if any are doing shows the same weekend. I heard Lucha Underground may do a show in Dallas that weekend, and you'll likely have as much fun (if not more) attending that than Wrestlemania.

Have fun! I'm jealous it's not in CA again this year.

I ended up working the video/microwave receive site for the blimp at Wrestlemania XXIV in Orlando. It was my first time seeing a wrestling program in person, and while it had some cool things about it, it was surprisingly quiet to me. When you go to other sporting events you'll hear some kind of commentating/emcee telling you what's going on over the speaker system, but in wrestling you don't hear anything unless one of the wrestlers literally grabs a mic. Very strange.

It was fun though because I had an all-access pass and was running around taking photos or running around backstage. I'll post a couple photos when I'm not on mobile.

I went to WrestleMania VIII in Indy. I don't really remember much about it. I was never much into wrestling as a kid, and I am not sure who I ended up going. According to Wikipedia, the headline events were Sid Justice vs. Hulk Hogan, and Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair.

I went to see WM29. Great experience, but the show itself was easily one of the 5 worst WrestleManias ever. I still haven't lived down not going to see WM20.

I just bought a ticket for this year's wrestlemania in Dallas and I'm fired up! I wanted to ask how is it in person and what should I expect?

I was at the Wrestlemania in Houston with the gaming press back in THQ days. It was super hype, we had box seats, met a bunch of wrestlers.

Even without the press perks, it still would have been amazing. To this day I regret not going to see the Rock vs. Hogan in Toronto.

Houston drivers are insane, not sure if same applies is Dallas.

I went to 27 in Atlanta, but none of the other events. It was worth it to see Edge's last match, and HHH vs. Taker, but the rest of the card was shit and I left during the boring ass main event.

I did the THQ press thing for X8. I could have gone for the box seats but already had floor seats.

I really regretted not taking them up on going to the box seats as those would have been a far superior experience.

Friends don't let friends buy floor seats.

Went to XXIX in NY/NJ. It was pretty cold that evening for an outdoor show. Show was alright but it's surreal to see 80 000+ people all in one place for a wrestling event, can't imagine how it'll be in Dallas.

And yeah like others have said, NXT and Raw are a must also. Still regretting that I missed it the night after in NY.

25-30 and I'll be at this one. Since its your first try make a whole weekend out of it. If you're a big WWE person take in the Hall of Fame and an axxess session. If you love the old timers find out who will be at wrestlecon. If you love current Indy stuff catch some of the wwn shows (no more Dragon Gate USA but there is evolve) and Roh.
Also the day of do one of the tailgates. Morethanmania.com has info on the BBQ with terry funk and there's another one with Ric Flair.
Talk wrestling with some internationals and have a good time. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions about it.
I recommend staying downtown as only mania is in Arlington. Everything else is in Dallas that weekend.

One of my keepsakes was a copy of the script. I don't know why I never thought about it, I just never considered there was an actual hard script for everyone to follow. I thought maybe it was more like televised sports where everyone (aside from the wrestlers) goes with the flow. Color me surprised.

These photos were taken before I knew anything about still photography (I'm a TV camera op by trade), but I still think they're fun to look at.

My job that day was to make sure the receive site was working for the blimp, meaning-- the video shot from the blimp ends up in the TV trucks. Our receive site was at the top of the Citrus Bowl.

Lining the top of the stadium were these giant (9½-foot) Wrestlemania flags. I ended up nabbing the one next to our receive site at the end of the night.

I wanted to get a closer look, so during a short break I ran down to the floor to take a couple photos during Undertaker's match.

A highlight for me came during the Undertaker match against The Edge-- at one point the referee ends up taking a boot to the face and gets knocked out. A new ref comes running down the long ramp leading to the ring and then a team of people get the KO'd ref to wake up and they slowly walk him back up the ramp to exit the main floor. Once we got back behind the curtain there were high-5's all around and hooting celebrations as they showed the ref a replay of his kick to the face and fall. I don't know what I expected, but it was all so much more fun than I thought it would be.

It can be fun to see who improvises a lot and who sticks to the script.

Went to Wrestlemania X-8, I was pretty much as far back as you could get but it was still a decent view and a hell of a time!

NXT sold out instantly because they're running the convention center as opposed to the AAC, which holds about 1/3 the people.

I went to ...11, 20, and Meadowlands. I've had my fill but I don't enjoy the product enough anymore to shell out the kind of money required to enjoy the event. I'll probably go to DGUSA or ROH though. I really wanted to go to NXT but scalpers gonna scalp.

If you've never been and are a wrestling fan, you need to go once. It is an experience like no other. The other thing on my wrestling bucket list is NJPW WK and I'm hoping to put that one to bed either next year or the year after.

Went to 21 at the Staples Centre in LA. Was my first and only trip to America and loved every second of it. Sat next to former indie darling Chris Hero when watching it after being introduced by a mutual acquaintance. He was a lot more friendly and interesting than my friend had built him up to be and it made a fantastic experience even better.

Great to see the first ever MITB match live and HBK/ Angle blew me away at the time. Also got the chance to meet Chris Benoit when I was out there and he still remains the most genuinely polite, nice and accommodating wrestler I have ever met. Makes what happened in the end all that more harrowing.

Would love to do another one now that they're in a stadium every year.

Was at 29, it rained and was a painfully boring show. Still always fun to be in a crowd, worth the price of admission.

This. I had floor seats with a few friends which were positioned behind the lighting structure for the ring. After it started raining, I asked to be relocated and got a better view of the ring.

Unfortunately, that was more exciting than the actual card itself. Still enjoyed being part of the experience though

I went to Wrestlemania 24 & 27. Both were ok when I watched them at later times but were incredible when I was there live. Being apart of the crowd, the big moments, all the legends, it was awesome.

Went to 29 in NY. It was cold as hell and it wasn't all that memorable match-wise, but it was a fun experience regardless.... My best advice is. I hope you don't get stuck behind one of those giant pillars that could potentially block your view and get tickets for NXT/Raw the night after, it's usually a much better show/much more entertaining crowd.

lol, reading through the thread, looks like everyone agrees that 29 sucked.

Never went to a Wrestlmania, but I did get to see 3 WWF events back in 86/87 in the Tacoma Dome

Macho Man vs George the animal Steel
Hogan vs Kamala
British Bulldogs vs the Heart Foundation
Jake the snake vs I can't recall
Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy

People claiming they are going to Wrestlemania this year yet I don't see anyone pointing to a sign.

No one goes to Wrestlemania until they point to the sign, dammit!

Attending a Wrestlemania is on my bucket list. I don't even watch wrestling anymore, but I do appreciate a bit of spectacle and razzmatazz. I did go to Summerslam at Wembley Stadium back in the 90s. Could barely make out what was going on from where I was sat, but I loved every minute.
