Who has the best (exclusive) Software Lineup in 07

mamacint said:
Because I was actually trying to include major releases the were on track to make 2007. Didn't realize he had included, for example:

- Bizarre Creation's "other" game.
- Banjo 3.

It's like comparing apples and goatse'd oranges.

The Bizarre Creation game (The Club) is multiplatform

I don't think semi-exclusives should count at all, there are a shit load of them.

If they do you might as well add to the PC list:

- Bioshock
- UT2k7
- Assassin's Creed
- Alan Wake
- HL2: EP2
- Team Fortress 2
- Portal

Or stop treating the PC like it's a console at all.

Quake Wars = PC OWNAGE.

PS3 has some good stuff, and 360 has some good stuff that will probably all be on PC eventually.

DS has Zelda, which looks sweet.

PSP has Ratchet, and Crisis Core.

I gotta give it to PC, but there's love all around. As far as console exclusives, PS3.

Assuming every single game listed actually comes out next year, I'm going to say... Wii by a slim margin.

Then PS3.

Why no DS list?

a few more PC games:

Duke Nukem Forever (I kid you not O_O)
Star Trek Online
War Front: Turning Point
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Armed Assault
World of WarCraft: The Burning Crusade (recently moved to January 2007)

The PS3 and the 360 will be duking it out for number 1, but I am most interested in the amount of original titles for the 360. Too many sequels on Sony's and Nintendo's horizon.

Hey hey that's racist! The topic doesn't say consoles only!

Everyone has a PC. No one sits and bashes it. If you have a capable gaming PC, you're going to want it + a console because of the lack of genre variety. Conversely, the PC has exclusive genres of its own.

Read the title. :D Not trying to be mean or anything. Everyone's asked that question...(one guy said PSP.....)

you gotta be kidding me! PS3 has more new ip's than 360 and this is a fact.

Its really an question of wich games you want the most. I'd say ps3.
warhawk
motorstorm
white knight
mgs4
heavenly sword
sigma
hotshots golf 5
dmc 4

thats a great year imo
I doubt ill be able to buy more 60 dollar games than that this year anyway

Yaknow all this is partially true too.
Except Nintendo is aiming for old people now. Then they can all talk about how they can still swing their arms! :lol

Quake Wars looks like a lame Battlefield knock off. Not to mention EA 1up'ed ID by releasing BF2142 (which looks like the exact same game) faster than them.

:lol

I bet Id didn't have the visionary idea of featuring spyware either...

bleh whatever! Battlefield revolutionized the genre and I don't see anything new in Quake Wars that hasn't been done already in the BF series.

Not to mention Dice Sweden >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ID

Return to Castle Wolfenstein predates Battlefield.

RtCW -> ET -> Quake Wars

Tough call. What is considered "best" is not always clear because a lot of exclusives turn into overhyped mediocrity. That's why listing every known exclusive doesn't prove anything.

We have a decent idea of what the familiar sequels from respected devs will be like, but the unknowns are a crapshoot. A few screenshots and a cutscene doesn't prove anything to me. I don't trust previews, I prefer reviews.

I survived two years last gen without getting a console.

PC gamers shall have their day in the spotlight once again Speevy, oh yes we shall have our day....

I'm not putting unannounced games. I edited out the Bizarre creations one. No worries.

ahah! Now I remember the name. Thanks. I'll just remove it from my list.

You edited it out because he told you it was multi-platform! you're such a weasel!

Lists are always innaccurate, not just because the games might not turn out good, but because games could also get delayed or canned. And by E3 we'll probably know about tons of other games, some that are even further along than these.

You know there are going to be games we're playing at the end of 2007 which we haven't even heard of yet.

This thread is a bit premature. Best way to do this is "Which has had the best year?"

I'm confused.

I remember the whole Bizzarre revealing parts of the portrait thing on their site. I thouht it was Fur Fighters but it turned out to be "The Club"

In response to your first quote, I was merely saying that I'm not putting unanounced games *pause* (reminds me of Borat...) I edited out BIzarre Creation's game. No worries.

I edited it out because of you, and I was told that it was multiplatform (which slipped my mind) because of Doom Bringer

I'd say this:

2006:

360 > PS3 = Wii

2007:

360>>> PS3 >> Wii

2008:

PS3>> 360 >> Wii
So, what comes out in '08 that you think is better on one platform versus another? I can't think of any titles that are publically slated for '08, actually.

But then that would obviously be 360, unless we're including all platforms (this/next-gen.), which would turn into an argument between those who thought 360 had a better year and those who thought PS2 has a better year.

Nope, still "No."

Looking at the lists for all three systems, I see a lot of really high quality games for all three. Anyone doing a >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> is just being ridiculously fanboyish.

What happened to Mercenaries 2? And other PS3 games like Eight Days?

But it's really too early to say - I'm sure all platforms have exclusive games that won't be announced until much later. Heck, even at next (smaller) E3 there should be new games announced that may make it for X'mas 07.
