Who hasn't played Zelda Majora's Mask?

Me.

I'd left my N64 at home with my brother when I went to college, and picked up a Dreamcast on 9/9/99. I couldn't stand the blurry graphics or terrible controller when I came back, and let my brother keep the n64.

Played bits of the original, those type of RPG's don't do anything for me.

If there was a demo, I might try it out since I haven't really played it before. Otherwise I probably won't buy it because I'm not big on 3D Zelda as opposed to the 2D ones.

I wanted to play it, but I held off because of all the 3DS Majora rumours. Really excited.

I tried it but I hate games with any kind of a timer, even if theres ways around it etc etc,so I ditched it after a few hours and never looked back...not getting this version as well.

I didn't play it. My best friend who lived across the street from me bought it and I spent every day after school watching him play most of the game so I never bothered to. Pretty excited for the 3DS release to finally play it.

I played it, but my girlfriend at the time was super into it and showing me how awesome it was and I just really wasn't feeling it, because all she was doing was side quests. I was pretending to be entertained but the entire time I was thinking "man, where the fuck are the dungeons!"

I couldn't care less about any Zelda or Nintendo title but Majora's Mask is a real exception. Saw a couple of reviews and liked the setting/mood of it. There is no way I won't buy a 3DS solely for this title (...and the upcoming translated Digimon game).

Only played Ocarina of Time on 3DS in November of last year. First zelda game I've ever played. I didn't like the controls on the 3ds, felt like it was lacking something and made my hands hurt somewhat from playing. So I won't be buying Majora's Mask.

The only Zelda I never really played, only for the first dungeon. Then a bird stole my stuff and disappeared and I was like fuck it.

I will play it once the GF gets the new 3DS version though.

I still have the golden cartridge with the original box in nice shape.

It's gold worth!

I wish I could show photos. I still have the game at my moms home.

Never played it and probably won't. Not that I wouldn't like it. Just that I never owned an N64 and I no longer buy handhelds.

I have played it through the first dungeon but could never get a grasp on the time concept in the game so shelved it. I might pick up the 3DS version and finally sink my teeth into it but it depends on what my backlog looks like at release.

I played about 10 minutes when I bought the Wii VC version, which naturally I did only a couple of days before the 3DS version announcement. So for all practical purposes, this will be my first playthrough. Although I have Ocarina of Time 3DS in my backlog, so I will probably play that first.

I was able to put in a 3DS LE order of Majora's Mask early enough in the Gamestop listing, so I'm also pumped for that.

I haven't played it. I don't intend to either. I played Zelda 64 on the N64, Wind Waker on the GC, and whatever the one was on the GC that had the more realistic art style and didn't like any of them. I did love A Link To The Past on the SNES, Link's Awakening on GB, and Minish Cap on GBA. Something about the series got lost in the transition to 3D. I doubt I'll ever play another Zelda again unless its 2D.

I haven't played it (nor more than an hour so of Ocarina) and have zero interest. I can appreciate it as an amazing accomplishment for its time, but its time was a very long time ago.

That said, I'll probably still pick it up. I did get Ocarina on the 3DS, but I couldn't be bothered to even get through the Deku Tree - that first couple hours of the game is so damn boring.

It will be interesting to see how people react to it, especially if coming in pretty blind.

It is a pretty special LoZ experience, unlike any other.

It would be recommendable, but not strictly necessary. MM is a direct sequel to OoT though, but it takes place in a different world, so there's not much connection other than a few scenes.

Thanks, just wanted to know if there were few things I might not understand or miss. However, it looks like according your post I'm going have to hope I can still find OoT3D.

Thanks again

It is an amazing accomplishment even to this day.

I have had it started up twice (Cube and Wii) and both time I could not get back into it. Same with the sequel after that.

Last Zelda game I managed to finish was Windwaker.

I'd say playing MM without experiencing OoT is probably a good thing. Majora's Mask rehashes almost all of Ocarina of Time's graphical assets (textures, character models, animations, etc.), so going in blind without playing OoT first will actually give a more positive initial impression as you won't notice all the recycled content.

I know when I first played MM, my immediate reaction was "wow, what a lazy rush-job", but then I actually started playing it and had a great time.

Majora's Mask is like the only console Zelda game I have never played before. I'm very much looking forward to playing it.

Played it until the third dungeon, but I borrowed that copy of the GC collector's from my nephew. Never comp, eted it though.

I played up until finishing Great Bay Temple on emulator, but I'll play it all over again now that the 3DS game is coming.

I've never played it and not too excited for it. Its a nintendo and a zelda game which means I'll be buying it and it'll probably be amazing, but from what I've read it has some sort of time limit system mechanic which I'm not too fond of since it makes me stress out.

Me! I was in the process of moving from the US to the UK in 2000 so this game would elude me for 15 years, so I'm so damn excited to play it at long last.

Very excited. Played a few hours of it but we only borrowed the game so I wasn't able to make it very far, it's been a regret of mine for a long time that I never finished it.

I was hyped about this from day one. Even made a fan site before the game released. But life got in the way, and although I own it on n64 and GameCube, I've put a decent amount of time into, but never actually finished it. Ones the 3DS and OoT3D were shown, I decided to wait for a MM3D. And finally or has come.

Can't wait.

Never played it, I was really put off by the time constraint. I understand there are ways to prolong it, but still.

That's kind of a worry, its the reason I never bothered finshing lightning returns.. However I'm expecting it is a wayyyy better game!

I don't really mind that they reused a lot assests as I have played games that are far bigger offenders of this.

One thing that made this game more interesting to me is the fact that it steers away from the usual Zelda formula with the whole moon and resetting day thing.

Although my older brother and I owned a copy of the N64 original back in the day, I barely played it for whatever reason. So, I'm very much looking forward to (finally) playing an updated/upgraded version on my 3DS in a few months :)

I have played it and still have the original copy. It isn't very good, but I will get it again because I am a tool.
