Who still plays their last gen consoles?

PS3 is still being used. I can't stop re-playing Demon's and Dark Souls. And while I have Dark on PC I prefer the online on PS3. Always seems active, which is a real testament to that game's longevity.

I think ive booted up my ps3 2-3 times this year. I'll start using it whenever yakuza 5 drops. Still debating whether I'll get trails of cold steel on that or psv.

All the time. I've made the decision to skip PS4 and Xbone. I am certain that any excellent games that come out on those systems will either get ported to PC or re-released on the PS5 when it launches with out many games. My backlog is just too big. Maybe if these machines could replace some of my old ones then I'd get them, but I have a 360 that still plays my 360 games. I just played a few hours of minecraft with my son this morning on the PS3 after I picked up a copy of that game from a red box sale for $6. I have a PS2 hooked up to the CTR next to my PC and I still turn that on to play games.

I play the 360 somewhat often still. A quick few fights of Soul Calibur V, throw in one of the shmups like Akai Katana, some PGR4, revisit Mass Effect 3 playthroughs, etc.

Thing serves more often now as a family/visitor workhorse with some older baseball games like MLB 2K11 or any of several Lego games.

Still on 360, haven't upgraded yet. Got a ton of games to get through still - in the last month I've bought Titanfall, GRID, Fallout New Vegas, Dungeon Siege (GwG), got Rise of the Tomb Raider from my girlfriend yesterday and I've got a list of at least 20+ more titles I want to at least try before I'll even think of upgrading - thatll take me the best part of the next year. Probably gonna get a decent PC next. If i do ever get a current gen console itll probably be Xbone because of BC and most of my friends are on there, but its hardly a certainty at this point. Borderlands 3 is the only game i can think of that would force me to upgrade.

Definitely. playing sonic 3 and turtles 2 the arcade game with my 3 year old right now. Before fallout 4 I put about 80 hours into dragons dogma ps3. Love it!

Last gen? I play all of the gens. Regularly. I got all of my consoles hooked up at once.

Atari 7800 (which also plays 2600 games), Commodore 64, TurboGrafx-16, NES, SNES, N64, GameCube (with Game Boy player), Wii, Wii U, Master System, Genesis (with Sega CD and 32X add-ons), Saturn, Dreamcast, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Plus handhelds, too...Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS (original and XL), Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and PlayStation Portable. I also have some (not very powerful) PCs and laptops.

I think the ps3 is also part of it. I still find multiplayer matches on mass effect 3 and it's wonderful

I'm still putting a lot of time into getting all the trophies in the Kingdom Hearts games, I've recently gotten through the story modes in both Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and I want to get all the trophies in ICO and Shadow of the Colossus before The Last Guardian comes out. So yeah, I still spend plenty of time with DS3 in hand.

Mass Effect is basically the reason I still have my PS3 hooked up.

Yup, I'll occasionally bring out the PS3 to continue my ME2 playthrough. Really glad I finally gave the series a chance.

Neither PS3 or PS4 is hooked up permanently, as we have a youngen running around now. So it's just a matter of what mood I'm in which comes down from the mezzanine. Neither console gets "special treatment", although I'm prioritising Bloodborne at the moment.

I have a ps4, 360, xbox 1 ( not the new one ) a Dreamcast and I just recently purchased myself a nice ps2 slim for 15 bucks, 2 controllers and a stack of games. I still play all these old consoles and I love it. I dont need great graphics to keep me entertained, some games havent aged well but same games still have. For example ive been playing DQ8 on ps2 which is still great, and on 360 i purchase games from xblg a lot. Like I bought Catherine for 5 bucks the other day! What a steal :)

I don't have a PS4 yet, so don't have much of an option as far as consoles are concerned (only have a PS3 + PC). That said, the PS3 gets use - not as much as it should, but it does get use, and once I get a PS4 that'll still be the case. There are still so many games (exclusives especially) on it to play through, and it's such a flexible machine that even if it wasn't being used for games it'd still see a lot of use as a media/streaming player.

Catherine is an awesome game. Difficult, but worth the suffering haha. Hope you enjoy it :).

been playing a fair amount of Halo 3 and Reach lately with some family members and friends.

in the same room. together.

oh hey lets see if you can guess the sole reason i don't own an xbox one

I bought a PS3 around a year after the PS4's launch, to be honest! I kind of regret not getting one during the last generation, but not too much. After all, it's cheaper now, and there are a ton of good games immediately available for it. It was also my first Sony console, so this was my first time trying out a lot of the well known Sony exclusives. As a Nintendo junkie during the sixth gen, stuff like Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper are excellent. If you were loyal to the Gamecube around it's lifespan, and haven't tried those two in particular, I absolutely recommend the HD remasters. Both series are golden; they have this quality that I feel anyone who loved the Gamecube should feel right at home with.

I do! PS3 still has so many more games than PS4. So it supplements what I have on PS4.

I'm starting to play Kingdom Hearts currently, and I've never played/seen Farcry 3, so I will be trying that with PS Plus next week.

I'm considering trying Okami HD at some point, and I just got Beyond Good & Evil HD with PS Plus so I might give that a look as well.

I think since joining GAF last year, my eyes have definitely been opened to many more games that I missed on last-gen.

Still own all 3 last gen consoles and none of the newer ones. Can't afford to jump into current gen just yet. I'm not in too much of a hurry anyways since I have a pretty sizable back-log to get through yet.

I'm about to go and dig out the Xbox 360 again after the GOTY rush to finally play Nier and really sink some time into that. Plus, hopefully be able to get into Lost Odyssey as I bought it again recently. I didn't play a lot of it at the time, but I saw it recently second-hand for ÂŁ2.50. Couldn't say no.

I sure do. Just recently bought a Wii for $50 and have quickly built a small library of more than 30 games for it. I also play games on my Xbox 360 pretty often.

The PS4 just sits and collects dust.

I still intend to uses my PS3 for quite a while, as I do now.

Mostly for the japanese import games I have. Things like Gundam Extreme VS, JoJo ASB and others that I have.

Truth be told I dont technically own a PS4. My brother does and I just play the latest games off his console. Though I do plan to get one next year, I cant say I have all that much I'm looking forward too on the import front. Though there will be several big games released next year that I'd rather not miss out on.

I'm still using my PS3. My brother does too, he's still playing TPP and I'm going through MGS2 at the moment.

He wants to get a PS4 this holiday but I told him to hold it off until next year.

I play my ps3 and ps2 semi regularly. Got a big backlog for both of them. Haven't upgraded yet but am tempted with black Friday deals.

I'm still playing Wii titles. I just finished Super Mario Galaxy 2 and will plan on playing Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn as well as the Kirby titles. But I may place more priority on playing and completing Rodea the Sky Soldier first before all the other titles.

Still the best non-arcade Taiko no Tatsujin.

I'm currently playing Maximo on the PS2. Other than that I've recently played my Gamecube, SNES/SFC, Mega Drive, NES...

If it's strictly about previous gen then yes, I'm still playing and buying 360 and Wii games. Would probably also be doing so for the PS3 if it hadn't broke.

I've used my 360 and PS3 multiple times in the last week, so I definitely do. Will not be stopping anytime soon either, my biggest game library is on Xbox 360 and I still play tons of those games online (not to mention my backlog). I would use BC more on my Xbox One, but I gotta get another HDD because Ik eep running out of room.

It never occurred to me as a kid that people sold their old consoles when a new one came out. Such a foreign idea. If you liked the game, wouldn't. you still like it? What do you mean you never play older games? I have SNES, N64, GC, PS2 all hooked up to a SD TV with a multi-tap and ready to go. PS3 and WiiU on the HD set. Currently I'm replaying all of my Wii games between new releases. After that I'll be going through all of my GB and GBA games.

Yeah I don't get it either.
