Who still plays their last gen consoles?

I broke out my PS3 yesterday to play some Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Such a great game. I'm going to try to finish it, and then the only other PS3 game I intend on completing is Ni No Kuni, but I honestly don't know if I'll finish that one as I found the combat highly tedious. I also have to play Rain, as that's a game I was looking forward to then never actually played for whatever reason. Provided it's one of those 2 hour games like Journey it shouldn't be a problem.

I only keep my 360 around for the Mass Effect Trilogy, though I also have it in PS3 despite never playing it yet (bought it cheaply with a deal).

I've got my PS3 and 360 hooked up still, but my 360 is basically my netflix box for the bedroom, and my PS3 only occasionally gets turned on to download a PS+ game that I might be interested in, but I know I'll never actually play.

I have over 150 titles for my PS1, so I play that from time to time when seeing those games in my garage :-)

I play my NES sometimes aswell, and last week I played Super Mario World on my snes.

Have 2 bags of Megadrive games aswell and Master system.

I played Wonderboy 3 not so long ago, love that game.

Considering 15 and 16 suck, I go back to WWE 2K14 on PS3. And I also still get to beat the shit out of Hogan in that one. Xbox 360 I gave to a friend when I moved cities, but wish I could go back and finish Blacklist :(

I feel like I've been playing loads on PS4 only since maybe the springtime, outside of AC Unity, Shadow of Mordor and enhanced versions of console games from time to time or Towerfall/Nidhogg/Surgeon Sim, I didn't really play PS4 heavily til, say, Bloodborne. (Though I did get a One for Forza Horizon 2 and well worth it for me)

Edit: Oh yeah, I've loaded up on PS1 RPGs and PS+ games over the years on the PS3. I could probably go a few years before really giving that up.

*raises hand*

I still do, but that's probably because the only current gen console I have in my house is the Wii U and we barely have any games for it.

Here's my issue.

From my own personal experience, I know people who bought a PS4 as most active gamers have done. But here's the deal.

I got a PS3 late in the game after being Nintendo-only my whole life, which appears to have been to my benefit as I now possess an excellent collection of games I'm going though. Most recently, I played through the first 3 games of Metal Gear Solid (which has been amazing I must add). I have also played through Borderlands 1 and 2 and Mass Effect 1, Bayonetta, among others. I have shared my experience with fellow friends who now have a PS4 and sold their PS3, but NONE of them played through these games. That's ok, gamers don't play EVERY good game, so I told him some other ones I'm interested in playing, like Red Dead Redemption and Fallout and Demon Souls/Dark Souls. They didn't play through them either.

This is what I don't get. There are arguably some amazing gems of games out there on PS3, and many people who have moved on to PS4 completely skipped out on them. Perhaps it's a good thing there's all these HD remasters releasing so people can play the definitive versions of these games, but even still, it's only a fraction of a series that gets these treatments and there's numerous games that haven't or won't get this HD treatment.

I want gaming to advance. It's got to, but in the meantime, I say enjoy these blessings on PS3/XB360. If you already have, then it's definitely time to move on. If you missed out on tens, even hundreds of great games on those last-gen systems, maybe you should slow down on jumping to new-gen.

Ps3 more than the ps4. Mostly play fighting games and stylish action games, which PS4 doesn't have many.
Melee on a Wii is played most nights too.

This year, I've played more PS3 games than PS4 games.

Even used it (60-gig fatty model) to fire up GrimGrimoire for PS2 -- because backward compatibility is stupid and no one uses it.

I still play my Xbox 360. Lots of cool games on it that I haven't played yet. I also like going back and playing some of my favorites, like Skyrim, Witcher 2, and Red Dead Redemption.

Less and less, I have to admit. I still play Alan Wake now and then, and I'll always return to Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

But with Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Tearaway Unfolded here at home, it's hard to find the time to play on my Xbox 360 right now. It's still plugged in, of course.

Been playing Nier lately on PS3, and no longer have my PS1 or PS2 so I use it to play Valkyrie Profile or God Hand when I get the itch. 360 is my Cave shmup machine. So yeah, I'll probably never get rid of either system.

I still use both a WIi and a Ps3 every now and then. Can't see myself picking up a PS4 for a little while yet, I don't play much at home and have quite a few games to play first.
