Outside of Adventure and 02, none of the Digimon are truly connected. Ryo doesn't count, only Digimon fans who can't understand multiverses think 02 and Tamers are "part of the same universe".
Much like EVA and Gurren Langgan, tries too hard and its fans overrate it.

Exactly.
The only con 4 has is the mid-season "power up only 2 protags" problem, and even then it's a fault of the genre and not the story. Even Tamers has that problems.

I'll never forget watching that one episode from season 1 as a kid where one of the Digimon poops in one of the character's cousin's van. He then proceeds to kick all of them out in the middle of the highway.

It was the best season overall, I remember watching it on Fox Kid's over 10 years ago. I was disappointed that they didn't do a sequel much like Season 2 was a sequel to the first... I tuned out of Digimon with Season 4.

I hated 02 because I really disliked Daisuke/Davis and halfway through the series, him and Ken are the only ones with Digimon that matter whatsoever. Pretty much all the new characters sucked in 02.
The same happened in 01 after Tai and Matt got megas but at least I actually liked those characters.

Don't worry, it was. Only people who will tell you Xros Wars was decent supposedly believe 02 was bad.
As for the "reboots"... Well, currently the series is on a state of a real reboot, as far as I'm concerned. After Xros Wars ended they started a "return to roots" approach, both releasing ReDi (a game based on the original concepts of Digimon World, if not the whole Digimon series) and Adventures RPG (a return of the arguably fan favourite season in a new form). Even the new mobile/social games are more carefully made, and some old random ones have been discontinued. No new TV series have been announced yet and the only manga so far are tie ins.
I think they've done a really good job reforming the series, and they've respected its legacy too, as they don't pretend previous history doesn't exist (both of the released games have a lot of cameos in some form). They should announce a new series soon. I don't want a ReDigitize adaptation' but it should be something that is likewise carefully made.

I loved season 1 and tamers......season 2 had an absolutely horrible dub, ffs I could tolerate the original dbz dub but I couldn't tolerate that.....and davis was.....and urgh
season 4 had the problem of airing on UPN, a channel I didn't know existed until after they stopped showing s4 there.
Savers? Another digimon series I don't know if it got an english dub, and if it did it came out after I stopped watching tv.
I bought the season 1 box set, plan on buying season 3. I dunno about 4, i've heard that it's a digimon series where humans transform into digimon and don't have partners and it just sounds strange.
Simply being in Kim's proximity is enough to set her off, lol.
That main female protagonist would look 5X better if she covered her top half up imo. I'm surprised that nobody pointed out that her bra can barely hold her boobs in, hehe.

Xros is getting one soon. It will air on Nickelodeon as Digimon Fusion. I think it was even highlighted at last year's NYCC.
